Reflection: A fairly negative draw, I would say! Spinning it to the positive side is easy enough… I would probably benefit from a clarifying doublet on this one… and would do that if it weren’t practice. ---

Going with Mod/Sub/Mod–The legal “mess” (tower) that has been surrounding her (the VISA for my daughter-in-law) is finally clearing (whip), and _here she comes!!_ Well, heard from the gov’t about the VISA last Wed, and the cards for the last couple days have been pointing to this arrangement in my life. Snake (Circe, witch who could bite but who could be reasoned with) I’m reading this as a relationship dynamic— which is likely involving a trusted person and a woman. It has just revealed truths that weren’t fully visible before. A recent shift in a close relationship—where loyalty meets hidden motives—is cracking things open. It’s giving me the chance to choose more honest, aligned connections and to move in a new direction. This feels like the start of a break up of a friendship. It is probably about a friend from the past who has gone a bit weird - she ditched her husband (he deserved it) and it seems to have turned her eccentric. She is a professional so she isn’t hurting for support but she is bitter. She has always been loud and funny but now she’s just loud. I need to consider this a bit - no hard decision today. ---

I am feeling optimistic about a couple of things today, and am happy with this draw that supports this. I need to continue to cut out the parts of my day that steal my time (Scythe) and don’t serve me especially well. Cut out the small things that don’t really need to be done in any particular time frame. The Child card is the one that keeps circling around, which is always my signal to play/relax more, and focus on lighter things. It is a very decisive card for me, especially right next to the Scythe card that tells me to cut out some things that take up time. The Dog card is reminding me that I can support myself the best, because I’m in charge of my day. Reflection: A really nice draw for this question. I am being invaded by the sense of certain things winding down, and to relax with that. ---

I’m not sure any draw would have helped with this particular question, and this one isn’t really pointing to anything. Generally speaking, the last few days for me have been very busy, and involved physical activity which in turn causes some flare-ups of back and knee pain. Living with chronic physical pain is my own cross to bear (Cross) and I am resigned to managing that. Being busy lately with various activities (Garden) and just focusing on getting stuff done is the culprit for the flare-up here. The Woman card points to me being smart enough to know when to take a step back and give myself some down time, which is in store for the rest of the day and this evening, too. Reflection: this draw feels somewhat cobbled together, but that’s how it’s rolling today. 😉 ---

Explanation–this past year, since _awakening_, I have noticed myself growing with the wheel-of-the-year. As of Yule, last year, I felt as if I was finally coming around. When Imbolc got here, I felt as if I **was** a _newborn_ and was learning things all over again. Yes, my health has improved, I can walk and talk, but my mental state was starting all over. Then throughout the year, I felt myself _growing_. [from the wonder of a child, of everything new, to an adolescent, feeling the need to _expand/grow_, and now over the summer, I am reaching my adult self. I think I am finally catching up to my chronological age. As a person before…I was a child forced into an adult world and never had a chance to be a child. Now, I don’t really have a chance to be a child again, but I have had the opportunity to move through the **mental** stages of growth. As a child, being forced into an adult role so early, I never really had a chance to be a child. I was **always** “so grown-up and responsible” at an early age. I left home, finally at 15, and had my first child at 17. Never had a _childhood._ Was born, placed for adoption, taken back [out of guilt, I think] and was a mini-adult by age 4. So, to shorten this up…What have I learned so far this month? That I was never **mature** , in my mind. I have always been **responsible** , but that does not necessitate maturity. in my case dan, my inner child had never grown up…I was always wayyyy to serious being responsible to have much fun. I always like to play and have fun, but it was always only like a “picnic”, just for a short time, then back to being an adult again. I am learning the difference between adult/child/fun/responsibility. It seems that they _all_ can co-exist within me. I always thought it was one or the other, not that I could have them all at the same time.🙃 Lady Gene :sun_moon_star: ---

With this question, it seems obvious that another day of (mostly) self-care is in store for me. The Moon card represents protection, and self-care is key to that. The Garden card is pointing to activities: I will avoid most social interactions and do only the usual chores for today. I like seeing the Dog card again - I must be able to be my own best friend when I need self-care: no one else is in charge of me. Reflection: I am moving away from some (not all) of the PT exercises that were prescribed, as a few are bugging me later on. I have plenty of other options that involve movement and stretching that are better for me right now. This is a good question and draw for today. ---
