Cauldron Cocktail Halloween Drink

Cauldron Cocktail Halloween Drink

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

2 oz Bacardi Rum
1 Sprite Mini Can (7.5 oz)
3 oz cranberry juice
Black Food Gel ~size of a pea
Dry Ice*
Sugar Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Swipe the rim of your glass with a little Sprite.

  2. Dip the rim of the glass into sprinkles. I find it easy if you place the sprinkles on a plate and then spin the glass rim in the sprinkles.

  3. In sugar sugar-rimmed cup, add rum, cranberry juice, Sprite, and a little black food gel. Stir.

  4. Using tongs, place a small piece of dry ice in the glass.

Notes:

Tips and Tricks:

*Dry Ice: It is very important that you wait until the dry ice has completely dissolved before you drink your cocktail. You do not want to ingest the dry ice. Dry ice will burn you, so either use gloves or tongs to place it in your drink.

Large Batch Instructions: If you want to serve this out of a punch bowl, simply adjust the proportions:

To make ~1 gallon, combine 75oz of Sprite (~2 ¼ liters) with 20oz of rum and 30oz of cranberry juice(~1 liter) in a punch bowl. Add a dollop of black food gel coloring, stir, then add more coloring if needed. Right before guests arrive, add a few large chunks of dry ice to the punch bowl.
