FEATHER FANS:
These are not difficult they just need a little patience and planningâŠ
Feathers (collected or purchased to suit your purpose)
A handle: this can be a stick, a wooden dowel, or a piece of metal tubing
Ribbon, leather, twine, floss or anything to bind the feathers to the handle
Beads, Crystals, Talismans to add as inspired.
I carefully laid out the feathers in a basic shape. Then one by one glued them together to set the form. (I ran a small bead of glue down the rib of the feather avoiding the feather itself - as carefully as I could) and pressing them together to hold them in place. Let them dry at least 6 hours. Lay against the handle or insert into a tube and again glue in place and let dry. Bind the end of the feathers to the handle by wrapping with twine or ribbonâŠadding charms, beads or tokens⊠TA DA!
