# Do you cleanse with a virtual altar and how?

I’m using the virtual altar because I don’t want to build a new one and my parents find out. At 5:56 I blew out my virtual candle, signifying that it ‘melted’ because virtual candles cant _actually_ melt. I was wondering if I should clense with the incense before I fire up a new one. And do I do this everytime?

Hiiii!! 💜 I guess, it will depend on how YOU want to do it.  
I would suggest you explore your intuition and feelings a bit when establishing your practice at your altar.  
You can do a bit of journaling to collect your thoughts on your practice. What this virtual altar means to you, how you want to use it, what are important objects on that altar…? How would you handle things on a physical altar? Would you burn incense every day? Or just for spellwork?

Just know, love, that there is no right or wrong, only what works for you and your needs. You have the freedom to create a practice that fits your needs and wants!! 💜

@aaliyah1 I would treat your virtual altar as you would do if you had a physical altar. Go with what feels right for you. There is no set way as an altar is personal to each individual Witch.
