Do you spread your wings or keep it tight?

Hi all my Magick people, so i was curious as to do you keep your everyday witchy items/craft in one spot or do you prefer to spread things out all over your home? I for one like to keep it in one place in my sacred witch room as to me it symbolises my own sacred space and others in my house hold are non-witchy folk so it is both out of respect to my other family members and my own preference…
Would live to hear what you do…

I have my own sacred space as well where I keep everything together. When I enter the room I immediately feel energized and it puts me in a witchy state of mind, especially after a long day. I love my special room :wheel_of_dharma:

I generally keep it all in one space, but will sometimes move it if I need to use it elsewhere. It’s a lot of material/tools, and it can be a challenge to keep it organized.

@TheMuslimWitch I have been practicing for decades and have a very tolerant home environment and husband - my basement houses my main altar and my ancestor altar and a main craft area with most of my ritual items and storage items and a place to create potions, meditate and beside it is my kitchenette area with herbs that I use for my herbal medicine, tinctures, etc since I am an herbalist.

However, all over the house I have crystals, emblems, have created sigils, protections and incorporated what would be considered ‘witchy’ items all over the house, since I use it as a part of my day to day living - it is tasteful and not something any commoner would look at and go - wow, a witch lives here - unless you know, you don’t know! :brown_heart:

I think I have “magical” items in every room of the house! I like it that way! I am trying to create a space though, it’s coming along slowly!

@TheMuslimWitch
Khadija I seemed to always have organized chaos around me. With wings open, I fluttered everywhere.

Organisation is a great quality of mind but being messy is also one of my bad qualities… You can always tell if i have done a spell or been studying in here as there is many book lying around in here…

I love that! I would love to do this but i don’t think my ‘witch is in’ sign and many items which have the word witch would help out. I would be called out as a witch straight away, which is my intention lol

Nice, i would love to do this but honestly i would loose everything…I am very forgetful and always rushing everywhere so would be a disaster for me i think

I guess i could be called a bird in a cage? I mean i would love to open my wings and have every bit of my witchy personality shine in every room but according to the guy who inspected our rented home he said that i should be using my sacred space for this purpose. Well i say bad luck i will do it anyway as he can’t kick us out due to my beliefs that is discrimination

Same as @jan_TheGreenWitch! I have my own room to practise witchery, with my desk to study/write or craft something, with my altar, my ancestors altar and all that stuff, but for example, I have a broom behind the door to keep bad energy away, my home (now for Samhain) is full of pumpkins and crystal all over the house. My boyfriend not only supports me, but also helps me with some “witchy things”.

So nice! I would love to decorate with pumpkins especially as they are on sale at the moment thanks to Halloween. Unfortunately it is not Samhain here just yet, but nevertheless, it is almost Beltane and am sure i can decorate with heaps of flowers. My husband too like your boyfriend, buys many wonderful even exotic things for my craft but in saying this he does it as it makes me happy and repeatedly has expressed his dislike of my new path but supports me by trying not to intervene too much. For me this is the best i can hope for

Organization is a wonderful concept, but that isn’t what follows in my wake… sigh.
Be happy sweet :boy:

Uh, when I say “organized,” I don’t mean crystals arranged by size and shape and herbs in alphbetical order! I mean that, since I’m in the broom closet, most of my witch gear gets put into boxes when the Un-initiated are present. A couple of crystals I can pass off (“isn’t it cool?”), but altar cloths, figurines, candles, incense, cauldron, pentacle and all the other gear has to go someplace hidden (like, those boxes). And the when non-witchy are gone, I don’t empty the boxes and set it all into neat cubbies. I’ve got multiples of things and the extras stay in the box. I don’t know what that stuff does when I’m not looking, but there are now two boxes and they’re stuffed full.

That’s what I meant by organized. Someone who recently was at my house for the first time said, "Wow, your house is pretty clean -for a guy." (It should noted that I have a Roomba :rofl:). So organized was probably the wrong word to use.

So what I meant to say is that most of my witchiness stuff is contained in a room when I’m not using it, but there are times when it is not.

I’m not sure that I wouldn’t be as sloppy as my kitchen (I cook, and no matter how often I clean the stove is always a mess) if I were out of the broom closet.

My stuff is kind of everywhere actually. I like to be able to just grab and go and because I am the caretaker of so many and my schedule is typically pretty full… I have to steal quiet uninterrupted moments when I can. If things I want to use are on hand, I can grab it and go!

Ha! That’s a good topic. I live alone so . A part of my bedroom is my sacred space. There is a mini altar and a bookcase full of books. No one goes in there (sob! LOL) when I have people over so that works out well for me. But if I am doing a circle or like now, getting ready for Samhain, the living room and dining room are pretty Witchy! I really like to do my works outside but I feel a bit exposed out on the patio. And this kills, me, but at the apartment complex where I live, there is a big green, a little children’s playground, beautiful old trees and an IMMENSE concrete circle with the directions N, E, S, W engraved in it. If 40 or 50 people held hands around this circle, I am sure they would all fit, that is how big it is. I dream of casting a circle there, with others. However, we would have quite a lot of spectators from the windows of the other apartments, so I don’t dare. But…dang! It is RIGHT THERE! Sometimes, I casually walk around it

I can get that. I have a back yard so big over 200 people can hold hands in a circle but my neighbours will never look at me the same again, in saying that i don’t hide it and even have hung moons, pentagrams and things in my window and i am sure they can see the starry galaxy light with the lasers out the window sometimes… I love the N S E W engraved thing that must make you so eager to just go out there and do your work in the garden… My kids and even husband are like say a pray when you take the trash out the back that’s how scared they are of spirits but once my kids cam out with me and they were like what if something or someone comes to us and i was like “spirits i invite you come interact with me” My kid were like what are you doing… I believe if i do not harm something and protect myself as i do regularly, then all will be fine. Asides bad spirits entering someone’s body is rare just as death is with routine c-sections these days…
