I’ve never been able to shuffle anything and the way I’m currently doing isn’t very effective. My husband was happy to try to help but we couldn’t come up with anything gentle and effective.
It’s probably hard to answer in words and I guess there really isn’t a right way but could someone give it a shot explaining how to effectively shuffle a deck?
Shuffling the decks effectively would be however it is easiest & most comfortable for you to do so.
Personally, I use a combination of casino-style shuffling & then hand-over-hand shuffling. You can also kind of put or spread the cards on a table or flat surface & mix & move them all around the table then make a pile again one or a few times to get them all mixed up if that’s what’s easiest for you right now.
Have you tried looking on YouTube for tutorials? There might be something there that will help.
I didn’t think of that
I agree with @Siofra_Strega there is no one right way- there will be tutorials that tell you otherwise but ignore those.
If you can’t shuffle the spreading them out and moving them around before stacking them works great!
Thank you all so much. You all have solved my issue.
I think I used to spread them out, it sounds familiar
I’m like @Siofra_Strega in this. Some of my decks have larger cards that make the casino-style shuffling impossible because my hands just aren’t big enough. For those decks, I use the overhand shuffle method. I don’t think I’ve ever just set the cards down and shuffled them around. If you’re pulling one card, you could just fan the cards out and run your hand over them until you feel pulled to one specifically
And like @Amethyst mentioned, you could probably find lots of shuffling tutorials and ideas on YouTube!
Thank you all, I’m starting to get them more even
