# Equinox Ritual For Gratitude :black\_spell\_candle:

### Equinox Ritual For Gratitude

This ritual is best done on the evening of the Equinox.

**You will need…**

- one [black candle](https://spells8.com/black-candle-meditation/)
- one [white candle](https://spells8.com/white-candle-meditation/)
- an Earth-friendly [offering](https://spells8.com/deity-altars-offerings/)

**Instructions…**

1. Prepare your space for the ritual. [Cleanse the area](https://spells8.com/7-simple-ways-to-cleanse-negativity/) if needed, and [cast your circle](https://spells8.com/easy-circle-of-protection-spell/) if you choose.

2. Call in deities and spirits of your choosing. If you don’t work with Gods or spirits, feel free to call in the Earth’s energy or whatever feels right.

3. Ground and center yourself, preparing for the gratitude ritual. You may find it helpful to meditate on what gratitude means to you.

4. When you’re ready, light the white candle and say the following:  
_For lessons learned and love received…_

5. Light the black candle and say the following:  
_For dreams fulfilled and hopes conceived…_

6. With arms extended outward, say the following:  
_I honor balance, dark and light,  
With gratitude and hope so bright._

7. Place the offering on your altar or ritual space. If you feel called, speak words from the heart, expressing gratitude for the balance of the Equinox.

8. If it is safe to do so, let the candles burn out. If not, it is okay to extinguish them.

9. If possible, place your offering outside near a tree or other plant. If that isn’t possible, keep the offering on your altar for a full 24 hours before disposing of it properly.

10. When you’re done, close your circle and your Sacred Space.
