Finding my way back

Hello, my name is Nichole and I have been drawn to all things witchy for as long as I can remember. I started seriously dipping my toes into the craft before I became pregnant with my daughter and put myself and my journey on hold for the last 3 years. Now I’m ready to focus on myself and dedicate more time and more of myself to my journey. I have Irish, Romanian (Romani) and Mi’qmaq heritage. I feel myself when I am lost in nature on a hike in a forest, or laying in the grass staring up at the stars. I have interest in divination especially tarot which I am learning. I’m looking forward to where this journey takes me!

Welcome, @LadyOhno and Merry Meet! We’re glad you’re here with us!

I’m Feathertip, from SE Michigan. I’m a lifelong Pagan, mainly a Green witch, and I work with Nature and stay close to all her critters. I love growing my own herbs and plants. I like Lenormand cards for divination, and practice Yogic meditation.

What a beautiful heritage you have! It must be fascinating to explore. You’re in the right place here - we all have different paths but support each other. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about anything - the site is huge, with lots of information.

I’m looking forward to seeing you around the forum and getting to know you better! Enjoy your journey, lovely. :heart: :sparkles: :feather:

@LadyOhno Merry Meet

I just wanted to welcome you. There is lots to explore, tarot is lovely and can give you guidance. Have fun looking around the forum.

I am from a small village in Lancashire, England. :united_kingdom:

I am a Solitary Eclectic/Hedge Witch and my divinations are the 5 Elements which I incorporate into daily life. I am drawn to the Moon in particular but also align with the Sun, Planets, Astronomical Events and of course Astrology, crystals, candle magic, tarot, runes, angel numbers, lenormand, tending outdoor, indoor plants and growing herbs, garlic, I write and create my own spells which is both exciting and rewarding for spell jars, spell bags and looking at different ways of forming new spells, I drink Sun & Moon Water daily, shower meditation as this fits easily into my daily routine and self/home cleansing adding instant magic where I can. I am doing the daily Oracle Cards which is my new go to.

I try to simplify, balance and live intentionally to create a calm, peaceful, relaxing home for my family, two German Shorthair Pointer Dogs. Millie & Bronte and our Koi Fish. I also practice Slow Living.

Everyone is very supportive, caring and helpful with anything you need it is a wonderful coven to be a part of.

Wishing you blessings :new_moon::dotted_six_pointed_star::pink_heart::seedling:

Thank you! For someone that feels at peace and like themselves in nature I really struggle with growing plants and keeping them alive. Haha!

Keep at it, love! Eventually you’ll be able to have conversations with them and they’ll start to help you along. Give it time, and be patient with yourself while you’re learning - you’ll get there! :herb:

Hi, @LadyOhno! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots:

It’s nice to meet you! What an interesting heritage! I just gave you a list of books to look for, so I’m going to add another! It keeps coming up on my recs even though I don’t have any kids. The Pagan Mother’s Book : Raising Children in the Old Ways A Complete Guide to Earth Centred Parenting by Kendra Watts. Not sure if it’s any good or not, but I thought you might like to see it since you have a little one.

Anyhow, it’s nice to meet you! I look forward to chatting with you.

@LadyOhno Merry meet and welcome. My name is Dee, I live in NYC,tansplanted from Long Island and Upstate NY. I Love nature and miss my gardens. Living in NYC, no gardens for me to grow. :pensive_face: But, I do have a few plants and love taking care of them and keeping my cat from chewing on them(nothing that can make him sick). He loves my Avacado plant for some reason.

I have been studing and practicing for many many moons(at the crone stage of my life). I had to take a break due to taking care of two elderly inlaws. Just recently started again, and taking a different path this time. Learning kitchen witch and been reading an amazing book about creating your own path, Weave the liminal by Laura Tempest Zakroff.

Enjoy the group it is amazing and full of great info
Blessed Be

Greetings from New Mexico!

Welcome @LadyOhno!

Just three years’ break? I was quite a handful until I was in school. May your home have the peace you need to continue your inner work.

I have an apartment with north facing windows, so I have very little chance to grow much of anything. My pot of St Pat’s shamrocks is down to 7 leaves. The hyacinths which were supposed to last 3 weeks faded in 3 days and the leaves are now as brown as though they’d been outside for months. I plant bird seed indoors, but that rarely lasts longer than a couple weeks. It’s not my thumb that’s brown, it’s the lack of natural light. I also have trouble keeping track of time, so sometimes I over water, and sometimes under water. Just can’t give up. :blush:

Merry Meet, Nichole! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

There’s something really special about coming back to your path after giving so much of yourself to motherhood. That call doesn’t disappear; it just waits until you’re ready again. And it sounds like you’re stepping back into it with intention and heart. :herb:

I’m Stephanie or Eira of the Living Hearth, an eclectic witch from California. My practice leans into hearth and green witchery, along with divination (tarot, runes, oracle, Lenormand), ancestry and shadow work, and weaving everyday magic into home life. So, your connection to nature, your heritage, and your pull toward tarot all feel beautifully aligned with that path.

Laying in the grass under the stars, walking through forests, those are powerful, grounding spaces to reconnect with yourself and your magic. You’re already doing more than you think!

I’m really glad you’re here, Nichole. It feels like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Blessed Be. :herb: :dizzy:

I have been called out on my earlier post. Witchcraft for Beginners sent out an email about the Craft of Parenthood. Having never had kids, I didn’t know. Mom simply blamed me for ruining her life (told me several times) instead of fitting herself into the new role. Much honor to anyone who can get through 18 years of parenthood! The email insisted that witchcraft becomes intensely focused and much stronger because of being fit into a busy life. I could never have done it: having enough trouble fitting in with the newest issues of a new apartment.
