## Hi everyone! My name is Brighid, and I’m new here. I first practiced witchcraft over 20 years ago and decided to return to it last year. After some personal challenges earlier this year that set me back, I’m now focused on rediscovering my path and figuring out who I am as a practitioner. Since so much has changed while I was away, I’m feeling a bit lost on where to start. I tend to lean toward an eclectic approach, with a deep love for Celtic and Norse cultures. I’m a bit nervous about starting over, so any tips for getting back into the swing of things after a long break would be greatly appreciated. ---

Blessed Greetings @a2003 and welcome to the Forum. Happy Witches New Year to you. Celtic and Norse Witchcraft is lovely and thank you for sharing.. My craft is working with the Elements, the Moon in particular but also the Sun, Old Ways & Forklore Magic based on nature, Anglo-Saxon & Witch Runes, Tasseography, Pendulum, Crystals, growing herbs. Ocean Witchcraft which aligns with the Hedge and my Ancestry being Highland Scottish and Devon/Cornish. I write and create my own spells. I look forward to reading your posts and getting to know you. Hello @a2003 ! It’s lovely that you joined us here! We’re a little crazy, but we are also the friendliest bunch of witches you will find online. I would recommend reading … a LOT! Great advice @Water and @Moonbeam I am fairly new here as well and have never practiced before, being here on the forum/coven has given me so much confidence and the help and knowledge that everyone gives is amazing. Hello @a2003 Merry meet, thank you for sharing about yourself. I’m from Melbourne, Australia, and my witch’s name is \*\*Moonstruck\*\*. I’m an Eclectic Witch and, although I haven’t been practicing for very long, I’ve always felt a strong connection to my ancestors and the world around me. My practice currently consists of maintaining an altar dedicated to my ancestors, along with various rituals and spiritual workings. I’ve recently started creating my \*\*Book of Shadows (BOS)\*\* and journaling my experiences and discoveries. My interests include crystals, the sea, lunar magic, tarot reading, animal spirits, sigil creation, and learning how to make poppets. I’m also researching and crafting my own runes based on the \*\*Elder Futhark\*\* alphabet. There are so many wonderful resources and courses available on Spells8, and I’m enjoying learning as much as I can along the way. Welcome to the forum! :infinite_roots: My advice would be to brush up on your witchy knowledge using the [Courses](https://spells8.com/all-courses/). And think about what you’d like to do in a daily or weekly practice. So, do you want to focus on meditation, tarot, or brush up on your spellwork? Or maybe you want to think about what you want to do for the next Sabbat? Do you want to do a big ritual weekly or monthly, or just small daily rituals? Don’t think about what everyone else does, or what you think you should do. There are no shoulds. Do what you feel will be right for you! If that means just lighting a tea candle and having a cup of coffee, then that’s your practice! Good luck! I look forward to getting to know you! ---

Hello @a2003 Merry Meet and welcome to the forum! I feel like the [daily ritual](https://spells8.com/wiccan-devotional/) is a very good place to get back into witchcraft. And it´s a lovely way to start your morning. There´s many courses, you can start out with the [Wicca Self-Initiation](https://spells8.com/courses/wicca-self-initiation/#memberful_overlay) if you want. I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my practice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons. The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything.
