Hi Linda, my name is Audrey, and I’m learning to speak Dutch. I live in New York and loved the language when I heard it 5 yrs ago on vacation to Amsterdam and Belgium. I truly believe I was Dutch in a previous life.
My tutor lives in Ghent, and I will be visiting Amsterdam and Belgium again in late April/May. Misschien kunnen we samen een kopje koffie drinken!
My Dutch is a work in progress! I speak with my tutor now 2x/wk, but I don’t know of any Dutch speakers in my community.

I am from a small village in Lancashire, England.

Hoi Hoi! Nederlands studeren voor mei is een reis! I’ll probably be in Ghent sometime during the first week in May. I’ll be looking for a place in Ghent or al least a “burt” where I can stay for a month sometime in 2027. Speaking Dutch/Flemish on a B2-C1 level is on my bucket list! How neat! I used to try to talk to trees with my mind when I was a child, after reading a book. I think the pendulum is a great idea! Let us know how it goes!

Hi, here I am with an update of my work with the pendulum and talking to trees. The trees let me know when they need more water or if they need anything else like extra feeding. But what is more I asked them how the previous owners treated them. They gave me an inside tip of how they treated them. I checked afterwards with our neighbours. And it was correct what they told me.
