Such a powerful experience! The mound was built 500 years before Stonehenge, I believe. This morning I watched light shine into a 5200+ year old structure that still works even with the tilt of the earth changing slightly, and the stones leaning in from the weight of the roof, over that time period.
I saw it live, while living in a country separated by an ocean. I watched it with a friend, who is in isolation with covid, separated by a city of people. Yet, in that moment where the light pierced the darkness, her and I felt connected to each other and to all the people that have seen this in every generation since it was built.
