I keep hearing experiences like yours a lot in the pagan/witches communities, so you´re not alone with this! I´m sorry that christian religion still is forced on young children. In my humble opinion a spiritual path is something an individual has to choose for themselves, when they are an adult or at least adolescent. Little children should sing, paint, dance and play all day and not sit in churches and listen to old men rambling. 
I´m Katharina, an art-witch and art therapist from Vienna, Austria! I´m practicing magick very much through art making! I love altar craft, candle making, poppet work, spell boxes, jars and all kinds of creative magic shenanignas. Working in my Book of Shadows is a big part of my pratice. I love all things tarot and practice this art since many moons.
The forum is huge and it takes time to get to know everything. The people here are very sweet and helpful, so just make yourself known if there´s any questions, someone will certainly show up to help you.

Welcome @angela2 ! I’m Ostara from Texas, and I joined the forum 4 years ago as a baby witch. You have come to a good place. We have a lot of knowable witches in the forum, so if you have any questions, just ask, someone will know the answer.
About 2 years ago we had another witch from Texas join. Her name is @Greenbriar and we literally live about 30 miles from each other. Texas is a big state, but it’s a small world.

Sounds like me. My mother wasn’t too strict on religion, so I made my own just to have something which did make some sense.
It looks like you got cut off mid sentence, there. If you look at your post, the bottom line has some characters in it. One, the pencil, allows you to edit your post and keep working when something crazy happens. That way, you don’t have to wait for the 5 minute pause between posts.
