I remember looking back in October 2021 Thanksgiving. That was me then, hurting and now it is so much less, but some of the pain from that loss of him leaving me just out of the blue still hurts some. It resonated with me too.

The Ruis Elder initiates in the thirteenth lunation & the portal that rules the ending of the Celtic Year. Therefore, Elder is concerned with transformation & the death of the year. We gather the last of the harvest now, & store the seeds for the next year’s growth. The Elder encourages us to use this time for personal withdrawal, retrospection, & release. Death & rebirth & the passing of the soul from the physical realm to the spiritual are all savred to the Elder. His tree encourages us to connect with the ancestors & to converse with those loved ones that have passed through the veil. The ogham for this tree is Ruis & the letter R.
Reversed Our culture has a dstain for death & for the aging process. Although, there is much that we can do to remain active & healthy, we do well to honor our elders. The Beith Birch initiates the first lunation. At this time of year, as we prepare for winter & seek deep transformation, we honor the crone aspect of the Goddess. Although crones are harbingers of death, they are also responsible for birth & new life. They are our midwives. After a period of emptying & releasing old patterns, acknowledging disappointments & regrets & embracing our achievements, we listen carefully to the quiet voice within & set our intentions for the year to come. In this way, we plant the seeds of the future possibilities & establish the foundation for the year ahead, which heralds in what we call the dark half of the year when the new gestates in the dark. Whatever your going through, you’re being assisted by magical fairy blessings. The fairies say you can bless others too.
To receive fairy blessings is an honor, and right now the fairies are bestowing their blessings upon you and your situation. Fairy blessings are magical and can also be healing. Only you will know what form these blessings take.
To ask the fairies for their blessings, close your eyes and speak from your heart, explaining why you feel their blessings would be beneficial. Then wait. Patience is a virtue when hoping for a message or sign from the fairies. Remember they will only bestow blessings if it is their will.
It’s important to acknowledge the fairies’ blessings and give thanks. An easy way to do this is to leave raw food, such as fruit, nuts, or seeds. Caring for the environment is a way humans can return blessings to the fairies.
Bestow blessings on others by showing love to loved ones, a visit, a smile, or a hug can make a world of difference. Just a kind and loving thought can be a blessing!

Unhealthy habits and desires can consume and control us. The Devil has tempted and captured us with their false promises of wealth, power, and pleasure.
