Merry meet everyone, Blessed to be here

New here and eager to learn more, I have tried for a few years doing my craft on my own but it has been hard to the point where I have started to feel like I am a tourist. My husband suggested I join this coven. I want to grow on a personal level in my craft

Merry Meet, @clarisa! Sorry you have felt like an outsider for so long. That will change, here. You are welcome here.

Thanks, Husband, for the support!

When I first started studying in the 1990’s, I focused on books. It felt a bit unreal to me. I couldn’t quite understand some things without experiencing them, and I needed the support of a coven for that. Didn’t find much until I joined Infinite Roots just over a year ago. Hope you find what you need here, too!

That said, feel free to join in conversations and activities. If you have questions, please ask. Someone will be able to get you answers. We have a great group of knowledgeable people here. I’d like to learn what you have have been studying, too!

@clarisa I too have been a baby solitary practitioner for a little over a year now. And it was very hard for me to try to absorb all the information and find it when I really needed it. There were so many times that I would come across this forum and I just never signed up. But it is been invaluable to me recently. So I completely understand things come to us when they’re meant to be. I feel that I needed to grow a little more before I finally found a way to dive deeper. Welcome and I hope you find it as helpful as I have

Merry meet @clarisa and welcome!

My name is Kat, and I’ve been practicing the craft for over 30 years. My practice is rooted in a blend of nature magick, green magick, and elements of hedgecraft. I work closely with the natural world, drawing inspiration from plant spirits, animal spirits, and liminal spaces. My interests include herbalism, gardening, and divinatory practices like tarot, throwing bones, and Lenormand.

We’re glad to have you here. :purple_heart: Make yourself comfortable, explore, and feel free to ask questions!:herb: :bow_and_arrow: :acorn: :crescent_moon: :deer:

Hi, I just finished the initiation course and learned so much from it. I am looking into the deities, I never realized that I had to pick one, I always thought I could use them as I felt fitted the situation and when they spoke to me in the moment. It’s a big decision and I just hope I make the right one.

@everyone thank you so much for making me feel welcome from day one. I do apologize in advance for any silly questions. I tend to ask a lot of questions even in everyday life.

You don’t need to pick just one. I don’t have one particular deity I use. I use whoever feels right for the spell I’m doing. Just always be sure to thank them for assisting you and leave them an offering.

You don’t. Some practice magick without working with a deity, others work with multiple. It’s what works for you that matters. :pink_heart:

I dont work with deities very often per se. Once in a while one will definitely let me know that they want to be invited to the party but I am still in my first couple of years of continuous practice and I have not developed a relationship to diety work that much. In the beginning I have just been focusing on making sure that I keep things simple and at the basic level. So I don’t think that it’s necessary to even have a deity I know of some witches that do not and they never have. As in anything with witchcraft it is what suits you and how you feel intuitively called to it. Once I learned how to just feel into where I should be going intuitively with those things it no longer started jumbling my mind up with a thousand questions. The questions are good because it helps to strengthen your intuition or at least it did for me. I just no longer asked the questions of am I doing it right that feeling comes from within

Personally I am pantheist, and I work with many of them when I feel called by them. I leave offerings to Brigit, Hades and Persephone on my main altar. But I see worling woth dieties as a way of developing my spiritual team that helps me.in my everyday life. And as others have said you don’t have to practice diety worship. I just like learning chants and prayers and conneting with them.
