Merry Meet Monday - Witchy News of the Week (Dec 22 - 28) 🌓

Hmmm, I had the same thought…

This is just wrong on so many levels! Ugh! But, I guess that’s how come I have rose blooming in the back yard, so perhaps I shouldn’t complain.

Oh no @georgia maybe you should check the luggage!

Your roses are beautiful @Greenbriar!

Thank you @Ostara - it’s a Belinda’s Dream rose and it pretty much looks after itself.

When my driver’s grandson kicked it, he said it was soft and it stunk. Then he opened it and found clean clothes, a knife, and a multi utility tool. Drat! Nothing I could share.

This was a genuine concern of my manager. If they saw someone climbing, they’d know it could be done, and then no one on first floor would be safe. No climbing.

Gratefully Agreed!

Poor baby! Soft healing pets to an upset tummy. Feel any better now that’s out of your system? Heal well.

May things calm so you can get some rest soon!

Whew!

I let the office know what was inside and where I had it tossed just in case. Glad y’all were here to back me up in case I was accused of whatever happened.

Yay Rusty!

Wise.

Thank you! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I hope like heck it was too dark to video! I guess we’ll find out when we see the pics of some fat chick in a purple polka dot dress haling their big bum up.

Yeah, that would be concerning. I hope you figure it out!

Well, I like polka dots! It’s better than stripes on a fat chick, I can tell you that!

Lol I had to share my first thought. Sorry…

I need that flag! Maybe as a tin sign for by my front door!

In his defense, he was pretty gorked out from the long-acting pain injection. He has zero impulse control, but on the plus side, he was suuuuuper happy. He immediately felt better after getting that out of his stomach and has been recovering well otherwise from the surgery.

He’s doing pretty well. Eyelids are still in the beginning stages on their healing journey but already he’s not squinting as much and has been a trooper taking eye ointment 2-3 times a day. Bribing him with treats before and after doesn’t hurt!

Much! There was so much of the bandage in there that he didn’t have much room for food. He was thrilled to eat normally again. :grinning_cat:

Today’s been a tougher day for him but he’s a trooper and such a good-natured little guy. He’ll get through this with a bit of mothering, patience and lots of treats.

That’s all that matters. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: He’s gone through a lot!

Christmas is over. (sniff). Santa is slowly walking back to Mrs. Claus for a cup of hot chocolate and a good night’s rest. Our Christmas was great - I hope all yours was, too!

Well deserved, Santa, well deserved!

My Christmas was quiet and peaceful, just as I like it. Now, I´m looking forward to New Years Eve! :sparkler:
Any interesting rituals going on to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new?

I’m so glad Newt is doing better! And wow, this must have been funny to watch.

Hello friends :sparkles: I am doing my best to catch up in the forum, but I have started a new per diem position as a CNA that has kept me pretty busy during my orientation and training  it is wonderful and I am loving all of it, but since I am on winter break, I am doing all of my orienting and training during these two weeks – that means I’m basically working full-time hours and getting as much in as I can before I have to go back to school lol

I’m hoping to get back in here a bit more this evening when I get off work, and then this weekend as well!

@MeganB - Congrats on getting this position! I’m happy that you’re loving all of it - that’s what keeps you going when you’re busy as all get-out.

Do what you gotta do, then try to relax when you’re home!

So happy you had a wonderful day! Hope everyone had a lovely time. Mine was…not so good. My mom has started to demonstrate some memory issues, unfortunately, and she almost picked a fight with me over something bizarre - in an unexpected and roundabout way, she started to accuse me of throwing out an urn that contains her deceased dog’s ashes. Caught me totally off guard, and my husband, as well, and I shut it down quickly. It was unsettling, and I’m trying to get this compartmentalized into the “she’s aging” box.

Then we came home, I had a lovely cup of chamomile tea, and then got horribly nauseated and  let’s just say, it didn’t end well. Too many goodies!

So today, I’m wobbly and weak and puzzled. Not a great day, which makes me sad. It could be her last Christmas, and I baked her favorite cookies and brought them to her and tried to make it a happy time. Didn’t go that way. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

So sorry for how things went for you. That was certainly not a great Christmas. I hope your mom feels better and more coherent. Those things happen and they are upsetting. Sometimes they are just episodic and go away. I hope that is the case. Sending thoughts and prayers.

My day was quiet and peaceful as expected. My daughter and I enjoyed our little Christmas dinner and watched the Grinch movie starring Jim Carrey. We finished the night with some yummy cookies and eggnog.

I’m so glad Newt is doing better and enjoying all the TLC!

I am so glad dear friend that your holiday was all you hoped it to be!

Congratulations on the new position, Megan! Such great experience to get under your belt! Any patient of yours will truly be blessed!

I’m so sorry, sister, that you had such an unsettling holiday. I remember the days when my mom started to decline. It’s never fun. Know that I am always here for you!
