Is it Friday already? I have been dealing with an extremely hostile work environment all week and Iām still hopping around on one foot. Iāve been using an empty milk crate to prop my foot up at work. Crazy lady is so petty, she keeps sending all the milk crates back to the cafeteria so I wonāt have it. Itās okay though. I just get it from the house next door. After work today, I have to go to training and then Iām going home to hibernate for a few days.

I forgot to mention that I drew the Tower tarot for February 1st and now Iām behind again. This evening I woke up to the sound of sirens. The pasture behind my house was on fire. I didnāt start the fire. The firemen put the fire out promptly!

I went to training after work this morning, but itās our physical training so I couldnāt do it with my hurt foot. Iām going to have to make it up.
I am filing a harassment complaint on crazy lady, so HR told me to get all my notes together and come in Monday to make a statement. I have dates and times, and crazy lady did it under the cameras so they can go to that date and time to see and hear it.

Wow, about the fire!!! The picture was pretty, though. First thing I thoughtā¦.fire that late, this time of year? Was it set on your property on purpose? (I tend to jump to the bad intentions/thoughts firstā¦..I guess because one of my sayings is, āprepare for the worst, but hope for the bestāā¦.so I start with the worst, and work my way to best.)

Im trying to get out on the mat again I felt so much better! I remember when I was the person encouraging others but itās not this way! Iām struggling to get there but I am so thankful for this time. Maybe I should set a goal!

Odd experience, this morning. After about 4 months of watching my incense smoke flow sideways toward the head of my bed and up toward the fire alarm, there is suddenly a change in the airflow in my apartment. The smoke flowed straight up for the first time! Iād thought the flow had been affected by the constant running of the bathroom fan, but now I question that. The only changes I can detect include running the water distiller in the kitchen this morning and having slept well for the first time in a while. Hmm. Letās see what else I can find which may have changedā¦
@Feathertip thank you. We had firetrucks from all over the county here. They are all volunteer firemen, so fire gets them excited like little boys in a candy store.
I want to tell yāall about something special that happened last night. I treat all my girls like they are my babies (even though some of those babies are bigger then I am). I baby them because of the trauma they have suffered. I donāt think any of them were babied as babies. They were probably left in the crib to cry, hungry and in soiled diapers. I have taken flack from dayshift workers about how if they ask, I will get them a glass of water, instead of making them get up and get it themselves. Because I work nights, I can spoil them rotten, unlike the days when you have to teach them responsibilities. Everyone should be babied at least once in their life right?
So, last night when I came in (it was my regular house) the girls were happy that I came in on my night off and asked me how my birthday was. One of the girls said she had me a birthday present. I was expecting a picture that she drew, but she went to the point store and literally bought me something. The girls get points for doing their chores and good behavior, so once a week they get to go to the points store and buy something. She used her points to buy me something! I have never been so touched by an act of kindness in my life. Chill bumps and tears in my eyes. It was the best birthday present I have ever received and the best birthday I have ever had.
I just wanted to share what a beautiful ending to a rough week. I am truly blessed.
