Merry Meet Monday - Witchy News of the Week! (Mar 31 - Apr 6) 🌓

It takes a while. We were moving a lot for a while. It was a standing laugh that we had boxes that hadn’t been opened from four previous moves. It is a pain!

I think it is clear that I was NOT in the middle of a move the last few weeks! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Thank you!

I’ve been watching a lot of older action movies (Haywire, etc) but also watched ‘The Craft’ again. I love Fairuza Balk. She was so witchy (and weird) in that movie.

Huge congrats to you both! :purple_heart::sparkling_heart::growing_heart::two_hearts::heart::people_hugging:

I also read The Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High in my teens

Congratulations, you two! And extra congrats to @dan3 for the special shoutout and the MMM badge! :tada:

Happy April, friends!

I’m slowly plugging along this week with something scheduled just about every day  it’s okay, though. Hopefully, next week will be less busy and I can find some time to relax. I’m teaching myself to knit and I’m working on a tanktop that will hopefully be finished by the time the weather warms up!

School is moving right along – we’re almost to the end of the semester, and then it’s Summer Break! I need the break, for sure – I’m ready!

We miss you but you need to get moved and then find all your stuff. Good luck!

Congratulations @dan3 and @georgia!

@Amethyst I used to love The Nancy Drew Mysteries! I wanted to be her when I grew up, (didn’t happen), and congratulations on your new windows!

I’m off the next few days, but on call, so I still have to sleep during the day. At 4:00 AM I went to water my plants on the front porch and had an unexpected surprise. After 3 years of babying my pineapple plant, I have a pineapple!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Thank you @celineelise, @Nikki-Phoenix, @MeganB, @Ostara.

I’ll look them up. Thank you for the tip!

Aww! It’s so cute!

I wish to apologize for misleading readers, here. I had no idea the books I shared above were not public domain as yet. They are very old, but not quite old enough.

That is totally cool. It’s a cute little devil.

Awww what a cute pineapple @Ostara ! Congrats on taking such good care of the plant!

I’m still unpacking and trying to organize my life from a huge house to a very small apartment. But if we don’t get too much more snow today, I’m taking a break from unpacking and heading to Chicago to spend the weekend with @john1

Thank you @georgia, @dan3, and @Mystique! 3 years ago I put the top of a pineapple in a pot of dirt not thinking anything would happen. :pineapple:

@Mystique the last time I moved was such a nightmare, I swore I would never move again. That was 1993 and I haven’t moved since. Sending love to you Mystique!

Thank you. I say the same thing every time I move. But I see one more move in my future and then I’m done. Lol

LOL! I wanted to be a Ghostbuster! I even told my high school counselor I wanted to be a parapsychologist and she had to look it up!

What a cute little pineapple! When it’s finished growing, will it live under the sea?

@MeganB

I’m totally impressed with what you and several others on here do week to week. I would try to name them (I actually started to) but then I would miss one and realize it later and feel like a dork. While I may get recognized for sharing posts, if I go back and count, there are some in the shadows that do the most sharing week after week.

Thank you.

I tried crochet once (therapy for an injury). It was sad. Everything looked like a bad pot holder.

@Ostara Oh my goodness!! I love this so much :beating_heart:
My house doesn’t have much natural light, so I don’t even try.

I grew this on my front porch. I would only take it in when it would get down to 20 degrees.

Crochet is my happy place :yarn: but I want to make sweaters and socks. I don’t like crocheted sweaters or socks, so knitting it is! My grandma taught me to crochet when I was a kid, so my hands already have the dexterity for it. Now it’s just about learning how to move both hands at the same time instead of just one. You should give it a try again! And lots of “bad” pot holders can be sewn together to make a big, unique blanket!

Update: we got 9 inches of snow and the roads are not good this morning. So looks like weekend to see @john1 is not happening this weekend.

I taught myself to knit awhile back. It was easy for me to do, but didn’t like it because it took me longer to finish a project.

So sorry to hear this. Maybe just a rain check? I enjoyed hearing about your adventures last time, so I’m looking forward to the next visit.

This is absolutely a struggle for me :joy: I’m holding out hope, though, because I really want to make my own clothing that I’ll actually wear. I have to remind myself that I crochet so fast because I’ve been doing it forever. I can’t expect to knit as fast when I’ve only been doing it for a month or so lol

Sorry to hear about your snow and awful roads :pink_heart: We got a little bit of snow last night but it’s raining now  I’m ready for dry weather.

I do have a week long trip planned for the beginning of June. I start babysitting the grandkids again next week making it hard to get down there for a weekend as it takes an entire day to drive there. So probably won’t make it until then.
