Merry Meet Monday - Witchy News of the Week (May 19 - 25) šŸŒ—

Congrats @Greenbriar on the double shout out and two week streak! You are blessing to our coven. :purple_heart::purple_heart::purple_heart:

My week is basically just babysitting grandkids all week. I love being with them but by Wednesday I’m exhausted. Lol. Two of the 4 are ADHD and on medication for it and one of those two are also on the autism spectrum. They are fun but can be a handful at times.

Hope everyone has an amazing week and for those who have had a bad start to the week I’m hoping it gets better!

Thanks everyone. No one was hurt in the accident. They hit on my side, but it was on the back door and not mine or I would have been hurt.

As for the bank, they said because it wasn’t ā€œbank errorā€ they don’t know if I can get the money back. This man told me my username. How would he know that?
They also know who did it, but the police have to give the bank a search warrant in order for them to release the information. The money from our account and the other guy’s were put into an account at the same bank and they went through all the money.

I think I will put a speed up karma hex on them!

Thanks! I wasn’t really worried, but I was. LOL! So I was happy to be cleared!

Sounds fun! I hope you make lots of new friends!

I’m so sorry for you.Just think of each day as being a step further away and hopefully with enough days, you will heal. Sending you much love!

Oh! Great idea! And less expensive than buying one of those fire proof lock boxes! Thank you!

Sending you energy so you can make it through the week! You’re doing a great job!

They sound full of crap. Not being very helpful to their customers. I hope you change banks as soon as you’re able.

I’d be interested in seeing that spell written out! Lots of cinnamon!

I’ll second that!

and now, all of our auto pays are going to an account with no money in it.

Is anyone here familiar with US law, because in the UK, if your account is hacked, even if you telephoned what you thought was a legit number, the bank has to refund you, the cyber fraud department of the bank deal with it, and the cyber police, you’ll receive a crime reference number aswell. I’m amazed that the bank is saying this. I know there is a time limit, I think here it’s 30 days, but the bank is not allowed to refuse refunds within the reporting timeframe. Surely US has the same protection. Is there a federal bank ombudsman you can contact. :green_heart::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Just to add, find the source of the hack IE a shopping site etc, change all passwords and usernames on everything, and if you have a paid antivirus, if it’s like mine, you can enter your email address and it will scan if it’s been compromised anywhere. Wherever they got your details, close that account. When I got hacked it was via eBay, eBay systems were hacked and my data was stolen. I changed everything, then shut my eBay, never did business with them again. Just saying, I think the bank are being unreasonable.

@ostara I hope the bank don’t start charging you NSF charges for each autopay! I really hope they can get it sorted out soon and get you your money back. If they know where the money went, they know who was responsible and they should if they had any conscience at all, return your money to you in full, directly from the scammers account.

I had my breast ultrasound this morning (yay for WARM gel!!!), then I had an ECG that the cardiologist had requested (an annual thing), then I went home. My ultrasound results were waiting in MyChart when I got home.

It’s a benign cyst - YAY! No suspicious findings, they recommend a screening mammogram in one year.

And more good news - the ECG was normal, and there was no sign of the ā€œpremature ventricular contractionsā€, or PVCs (early heartbeat/skipped heartbeat) that we have been watching since 2023.

Sorry to gush on about it, but it’s wonderful to have that worry off my mind.

Think I will do a gratitude ritual with the last quarter moon today.

Oh, my goodness, @Ostara! How horrible! I’m so sorry about the hubby’s car! I’m glad you’re okay! I pray you get your money back and that that jerk who did that is found!

@Greenbriar: Fabulous news!

It does seem like a gratitude ritual is in order!

Absolutely! Gush away! We all need the good news you share!

A neighbor knocked on my door, this evening. I had been coming home as he was heading out. He had lost his car keys and asked if I had found them. Then he looked me in the eye and asked me to pray for him to find them. Since he is resolutely Christian, I offered him to pray to St Anthony, finder of lost things. He wheeled off quickly with an uncomfortable air.

I went straight to my jewelry stash and pulled out a bracelet I use when praying to find lost items. Asked St Anthony to help him. The second I walked out of the room, there was a knock on the door. He gave me details of how he had found the keys!

I prayed gratitude after he left. Offered gratitude again as I removed the bracelet and put it away for next time. Spell Success! Always be grateful for even the smallest miracles.

@Greenbriar, I am so happy all of your tests came out good. I think the hardest thing about medical tests is the waiting game. If I have cancer, I want to know now, not next week!

@georgia, I’m glad you could help your neighbor out with the lost keys.

I spent yesterday changing passwords to accounts. Do you know how many times people would say ā€œI’m going to send you a one time passcode and I need you to read it to meā€? That’s what the hacker said!!! The only difference was I called them instead of them calling me. I think I’m going to have PTSD from all this. The policeman called me yesterday afternoon to ask me something because he was working on the police report. What!!! He can’t get the thief’s information until he can get a search warrant, and he’s just now working on the report? No hurry there, his bills are paid. Forget PTSD, this thing is going to give me a stroke!

I literally opened my BOS this morning to the page with this spell, just in case anyone needs it.

I have this wonderful book that I started reading last week. It’s called The Modern Witchcraft guide to Runes. It’s been sitting on the bookshelf for over a year collecting dust, but the Universe told me it was time to read it.
I have been on my witchy journey for a little over 2 years, and what a wonderful and crazy ride it has been. I feel like I know a little about everything, but not a lot about anything. So I started my adventure with Runes again. Some of you know about the problems I have been having at work. Basically, I’m working with 2 bitches that want me out, up to the point that my work is being sabotaged by them. I came across a spell in this book. I haven’t done black magick because of the karma deal, but there was a spell (Hex) in this book that called to me. I have a set of Witches Runes, but never used them until last weekend. This is simply returning the negative energy back to its source.
You will need
• The Eye, Flight, and the Scythe runes, painted on stones
• Shallow dish, such as a 6ā€ plate
• Dried rosemary leaves
• Pushpin, needle, or tack
• Black candle
Directions

  1. Assemble your ingredients on your altar. Place the three runes in a triangle pattern on the plate with Eye at the apex, the Scythe on the side mirroring your dominate side, and Flight opposite the Scythe.
  2. Scatter the rosemary along the center of the dish.
  3. Using the pushpin, needle, or tack, scribe the word ā€œhexā€ on the black candle.
  4. Light the candle and drip some of the wax onto the center of the plate. Fix the candled on the melted was so that it stands alone. The Eye will serve as your protection. Flight will send your intention to its target. Scythe will sever the flight path so that any negative energy will not return to you, and even if it did, the Eye would ward it off.
  5. Allow the candle to burn and discard the remains.

Did he send it to you via text or email? This creep really crossed all his t’s and dotted all his i’s! I guess I’ll have to start keeping those passcode emails, too, if only to have the sender’s email address if there is an issue.

Congratulations! :tada: :sparkles:

I know I’m a bit late to this thread, but I hope your appointments went well! :pink_heart:

Oh my goodness! I’m glad the fraud department caught it, but what a nightmare! Hopefully, everything is all fixed and good now.

Disruptive, yes, but I’m sure it’s much needed and you’ll get to enjoy the new deck soon!

Yes, many deep breaths  I hope it wasn’t too stressful for you. Just think – it’s a little bit of stress now to avoid a whole lot of stress later!

Holy cow, Ostara! :open_mouth: That’s so much to deal with all at once! I’ll keep you and your husband in my prayers :pink_heart:

I don’t know why I thought being out of school for the summer meant I would have more time. It seems like I have less time! I’m probably filling it with other stuff, but still… relaxing? Who needs to do that?

He texted it to me. How did he get my account number, my cell number, and my user name? That’s the big question. I talked to lady at the bank to see if they heard anything from the fraud department and she said she’s still waiting. She told me it happened at another one of their banks in Houston, but that bank caught it before it transferred. If it would’ve been after hours like mine was, that person would have been wiped out.

Thanks @Megan, I need all the prayers I can get.

Better late than never! And they both went really well! So that was good!

Dost thou know the meaning of the word? When I was in college, I didn’t!

Hmm. That would be the same number as the phone call, though.

I told my driver your story. She acted as though it was normal, anymore. Then again, her father’s bank gave money to someone toting a request to show up in court, thinking it was proof of PoA. They never rectified that.
