If you have three knee replacements, I definitely want to see the video.
My daughter made the SO and I feel old - she has to have a double. First one is scheduled for June. Both of us havenāt had too much trouble although I had some torn cartilage clipped by O-scoping due to that time I was showing the Russian Ballet how to correctly do a Grand Adage and I stepped on a shot glass. Nothing since - even on the damaged knee.
The Real Knee Story
I may have been flippant about the cause of my injury. It was really because I stepped off a ladder wrong when repairing the siding on our house.
Iām hoping it doesnāt need surgery at all and just a bit of rest and rehab! Weāll see what the doc says next week
No, no, no, silly goose! What I mean is that a knee replacement only lasts 15-20 years. The younger you are, the more likely youāll have at least one revision surgery done.
In any case, Iām thinking positively and hoping for the best with this āglitchā.
Thatās why Iāve been putting off having my knee replacement surgery(ies). The genes in my family indicate I will live well into my 90s, so if I have one or both of them replaced now, I will definitely have to have them done again⦠and againā¦
All these miles Iām doing on my exercise bike are my attempt to ensure a full and speedy recovery process when I do have the replacement surgery.
Sending positive energies your way that you get good news from the doc next week.
Iām doing that, too. Iāve stopped riding on the streets because of too many close calls (like⦠every day I went out). It helps and gets my heart going so it counts for cardio.
Sending love, hugs and sparkles to all, Iām navigating some chaotic waters atm so itās a lil nuts, but good to get here for a lil catch up. Hopefully things will settle down very soon!
This MMM is for last week - but no worries! You can visit Activities to find the current Merry Meet Monday discussion (and if youād like to respond to any posts shared here, please feel free to do so in a new discussion or via Private Message Thank you!)
