Looking at the list, my Amazon Fire tablet is not on it. However, if I disappear, this is why. My email account has already blocked the forum, so I will have no access at allā¦ Ifā¦ Just want to say this forum has been the best thing for me for the past year and 7 months, well worth the time and money spent.

I have a fire kindle tablet 9th generation 2019 release date and it still signs in here, just checked. Your email shouldnāt block Spells8 emails either. Iām tagging in @MeganB and @Francisco who maybe able to help.

Did you get the banner at the top of each page of Spells8? If not, I feel cheated out of half a prepaid year, here. Not sure when the update will come, so Iām seeking spells to save to digital BOS so I have something to do- organizing to feel connected to my favorite people.

Hi @georgia! Many old Fire Tablets (like mine, which I bought over 10 years ago) use a browser called Silk Browser. It looks like this old browser will no longer be supported in the forum. That being said, itās possible to download and use a different browser (such as Google Chrome or Firefox). With a new browser, you should still be able to access all of the features of the site.
Even without a new browser, here is what one of the Discourse team members said in the update:
Yes, we have a basic-html view which works on all devices. That will continue to be available for iOS15
It looks like those using older devices/browsers will still be access the forum, it just wonāt look the same.
While I pray itās avoidable, if the worst case scenario does happen and you can no longer access the forum part of the site, Iām sure we can work something out! Jot down the main contact info just in case: the support email is (hello@spells8.com) and there is also a contact form on the main website here: Contact Us ā Spells8. Youāll still be able to reach us even if your forum access is interrupted.

Thank you both! This has been such a hassle. Itās surprising Iāve had this tablet so long that it is outdated already! I donāt remember having it before Covid! Maybe I was sold an old tablet just to move the product from the shelves.

Honestly, itās probably just the nature of the tech world. My desktop is only about 6 years old, and my CPU is already outdated. I canāt update Windows, and in October, my Windows OS will no longer be supported with security updates unless I buy and install a new CPU. The tech world moves so fast that itās like cars sometimes - as soon as you buy it, it loses half its value and something new has already come along.
