Merry Meet and Welcome All!
Congratulations!
Great Job, Dan- ever closer to the Hall of Fame! Keep up the good work!
Special Shout Outs to @BryWisteria and @Francisco for their work, also!
Great work on the Welcome Wagon, fellow W.I.T.C.H.es!
(Slow Halloween groan.) Iām ready. I need another day or so to rest and heal up from this flu. Otherwise, my body has settled into its normal winter pattern. Iāll be like this until the end of May or so.
It appears as though the whole apartment sale and renovations pattern is going much slower than predicted by the meeting. Iām still prepared, but no longer excited about the whole thing. Nothing is happening except the closure of the trash room on the first floor, so that a major fire exit is blocked. Itās ok: the one who was pulling the fire alarms has been kicked out, so it has become quiet around here.
Iām learning how to handle a new form of simplicity in the process. When I decorated for Halloween, the decorations were stressful rather than fun. When all this is over, Iāll go through my favorites and get rid of a lot to lighten my load by getting them out and seeing how I feel with them around. Iām already down to tapestries and typical social holidays. Learning to decorate myself rather than my home.
Yay!
Now you know whom you can trust. That is a great relief.
Ooh. This sounds interesting. Cool that you were part of the reenactment.
Have you tried a factory refresh? It might get rid of extra stuff in the background. Just make sure to back up everything you want to keep beforehand, make sure you have the installers for all the programs you actually use on an external hard drive. It takes time, but it will keep you up and running a bit longer until you can afford to buy new. Then youāll have to find out if the old programs still work for you.
Yeah, Iāll need to do this, too. Iām going through games to see which ones are worth keeping. They leave all kinds of mess on my computer after I uninstall them. All part of reducing my digital footprint. ![]()
Next up, cleaning the germs out of the apartment. Not today, though. I want to make sure this is as gone as itās going to get before I start. I may spray Lysol everywhere, but I still want and need the rest.
Watching swashbucklers in the meantime. Very empowering for this time of year. No limit is set for how many to keep, but I know I wonāt be watching that many next year. Reducing from about 240. Keeping Harryhausen stop motion and the rare musicals which include sword fights! I think Iād rather keep movies where people treat dragons with respect instead of fear and lothing. Just finished Arabian and am in the middle of pirates. Vikings or Crusades next? I was surprised at how many different varieties of swordplay I have collected.
Meanwhile, Iām still trying to catch up, here. Itās slow going only because there is so much wonderful content from so many wonderful people! Than you all for sharing, even if I donāt post everywhere I read. You all are precious! ![]()
