I just found something interesting in a horoscope by Rob Brezsny:
“The Salem Witch Trials took place in Massachusetts from 1692 to 1693. They were ignorant, superstitious prosecutions of people accused of practicing witchcraft. The modern holiday known as Freethought Day happens every October 12, the anniversary of the last witch trial. The purpose of this jubilee is to encourage us to treasure objective facts, to love using logic and reason, and to honor the value of critical thinking. It’s only observed in America now, but I propose we make it a global festival.”

A while ago I had made up some little chants or nice phrases and printed them on small pieces of paper. I found one today out of the blue and I wanted to share it with you:
I banish all darkness and pain, only joy and love remain.
I found this about 2 days ago when I was having a particular hard time and was feeling quite hopeless. It certainly uplifted my mood.

In other news…
This marks the end of the first week of the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. So far, weather has been abnormally clear and warm.
Oddly, I have not seen a single balloon yet. The air currents must be carrying them away from my field of vision, which is limited.
