Merry Meet Monday - Witchy News of the Week! (Sep 23 - 29) 🌗

Today we are taking a little road trip to Austin! Taking my daughter (celebrating 6 months sober) and my grandson (haven’t seen him since he started UT) to lunch. I’m excited!

I’m headed to the Pagan Pride ren faire. I’ll be dressing up in the Halloween witch (civil war style) outfit I made. Taking an open minded Christian and her grandson to see the knights in shining armor. She seems excited to go. We haven’t told the grandson anything about it, yet, because he gets overly excited and pesters. I hope they both like it. My intention is fun.

My ride had to cancel at the last minute. No ren faire this year. It is for the best. Now to clean up the mess I made.

When I get overly excited, I tend to pull out things I think will be fun to include. It’s not a chore to put them back because I like the items. There is a bit of sorrow, but I realize that anything could happen and I am being protected. I’m grateful for the protection, even if I don’t understand it at the moment.

I loved seeing my daughter and grandson, but I keep forgetting how Austin is such a people place. Houston seems empty of people compared to Austin. I think it’s because Austin is so compact. Parking is nearly impossible. You literally have to drive around and wait for someone to leave. The restaurant I wanted to go to had 21 parties ahead of us! What??? Needless to say we went somewhere else. 'There wasn’t any parking except by the dumpster and it said don’t block the dumpster. It just so happens that my husband works for the company and knew they weren’t going to be picking up a dumpster on Sunday, and when he looked in the dumpster he knew it wasn’t a day for pickup. What can I say, I have friends in high places!
I want to stay away from Austin.

I’m sorry @georgia your plans got cancelled. We have missed the last 2 ren faires in our area. At least you didn’t have to deal with people!

Thanks Tracy, she’s doing great. When we were leaving Austin, hubby made me promise we wouldn’t have to go back for at least 6 months because of all the traffic. I agreed 100%!
