New to the group!

Hi there!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I love that you work with poppets they’ve always fascinated me! I haven’t made one yet (still a baby witch in that department :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:), but I’m completely drawn to their energy. There’s something so mysterious about giving a spirit a little home of its own.

I also enjoy candle magick and meditation, and I’m starting to explore bottle spells though mine usually end up covered in herbs and glitter before I’m done! :sparkles:
Runes are on my “to-learn-next” list; they feel like ancient whispers calling from the past.

Can’t wait to keep learning and sharing here.
Blessed be :full_moon::dizzy:

\I truly feel the same. Sometimes I think labels were born from the ego’s longing to belong people feel stronger when they carry one. The heavy embrace the heavy, the thin hold the thin, and when it comes to love, why should it matter who we’re drawn to?

The world divides itself into rich and poor, dark and light, when all we ever needed was kindness and the simple act of helping one another.

I try not to label myself either though sometimes it’s my little way of saying ding dong, here I am! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Inside, I am all things man and woman, young and old, an ancient soul walking in a younger form.

But truly… if there were a wishing lamp, I’d rub it and whisper:
Spirit within, I wish for every label and ego to fade into light may love without condition rise in every heart, and may it never end. :full_moon::sparkles:

Hi Bry! Thank you so much for the warm welcome.
It’s really nice to be here among kindred spirits. I’m looking forward to exploring the forum and learning from everyone’s experiences.

For me, the key is making it myself. By the time I am done, my intentions are welded in place. Here is my first one. She is a protection poppet for my workroom. She looks over everything. She is made from a clothes pin and a doll head that I made with a printer. She has a bag of herbs and runes inside that focus on protection.

There is a very good discussion thread on this. See: Poppet-Dolls. If you can last through reading it all, it is a wide ranging discussion which covers many aspects.

There is also a great book for beginners - HERE.

That’s fine! You can be an Eclectic Witch, which is what a lot of us call ourselves. It’s all good, no matter what the name. And I’m certain you’re going to fit in just fine!

Welcome @CryzVee22 and @cornelis :sun_with_face:

My name is Stephanie and I’m an eclectic witch. I’m a California soul diving deep into my ancestry and learning where my DNA magic begins. I’m all about making my practice authentic to my roots while exploring crystals, herbs, tarot, dragons, and a little kitchen witchery along the way. :sparkles:

Lately I’ve been working through a few stuck spots, rediscovering my spark and flow. My DMs are always open — come say hi, share your favorite crystal, or just chat about life and magic! :herb::speech_balloon:

Merry Meet & Blessed Be! :dragon::dizzy:
