# SEA SHELLS: How do others use them if so how?

I have a few shells I keep near my altar for spellwork. I actually don’t use them in spells as often as I use them as dishes - some of the shells are the perfect size for holding small scoops of spell components (herbs, salt, etc). They look really cute! 😆

Aesthetic uses aside, shells carry the energy (and, as you said, the sound) of the sea which makes them great for ocean magick.

Here are a few ocean magick spells that use shells:
