My driver’s daughter has three. Each of them have their own personalities. I got to meet them, but I was scared to pet them. I’m fine if there is glass or plastic between us.
I love it! Her real name is Gae, but among many other names she is Nugget, Nuggabug, and Nuggabuggaboo. I especially enjoy that all her “nicknames” are way longer than her real name.
Hahahha I love when that happens my Yvie somehow became known as Floofarella (or in formal situations: Ms Floofarella Mozzarella Toebeans) noone knows how this started but if the shoe fits
So cute! Gae also earned herself a royal nickname. When she is being especially high maintenance she is “Her Royal Highness the Fussy Princess Needlefeet”.
I think I’ve posted our gal but I ran into this shot of our daughter driving down the freeway after picking up three puppies abandoned on the highway. She got them checked and within a couple of weeks they were in forever homes. It made me feel good!
This is sad, but touching at the same time. Our sweet Cali came home today. Eric picked up her urn from the vets office. It was so thoughtful the way they included a card, which everyone had signed, a Beyond the Rainbow Bridge card, a paw print etc. Made me cry.
Oh my that is just a beautiful testament to your beautiful Cali! Just so tastefully done! Can I ask where you got that done? I have never seen such a beautiful arrangement to a pet before!
If I were you, I would add a picture in a frame in the middle! Your Eric is just so wonderful! I am so glad that Cali is finally home safe with both of you! I know how hard it is to lose a pet, so you and Eric are still on my Healing Prayer list I hope that’s okay - @Greenbriar
It’s a local place that our vet uses to cremate animals they have had to put to sleep.
We were able to choose which urn we preferred, from a selection they offered and they also included the little gold tag with her name, to hang around the urn, and the paw print with a little stand/holder.
The most amazing thing is that Rusty, who was one of Cali’s four kittens, had pretty much remained feral all the time we have had them. He lived in the bedroom, either on the chaise or on the bed. But as soon as either Eric or I entered the room, he would fly under the bed and not come out until we were gone. I wasn’t able to touch him for years.
In the past couple of years, there has been a five second window when I get out of bed that he would let me pet him, before disappearing under the bed.
When Raja (his brother) died last year, Rusty became a bit more friendly and hung around longer for pets.
And since Cali has been gone, Rusty has literally slept on the bed by my feet every night and spends all day on the pillow. AND he lets both Eric and I pet him and cuddle him now. It’s like he’s a different cat! He even booped Eric yesterday!
