As for the candles, don’t worry! Some candles take a long time to burn and can be unsafe if left alone- always trust your instinct. There’s a good discussion about burning out or reusing candles you can check out for more advice on this 
All in all well done! And I love that you took the time to record in your BOS and reflect- these are happy spellworking memories that will be nice for you to look back on in the future
