Spellcraft and Spellwork [45th Book Club Discussion]

Nice replies!!

I am not a seasoned witch at all so reading a book that is fairly clear is a good background. I finished a couple of books since I finished this one and this one helped me understand them better.

I don’t think I was looking at the book as a path for me to follow as much as for understanding of where people are and how that might apply to where I want to go. (which may be about the same thing… only different )

Like you, I also kicked out some things that I did not think would help me but were important for me to really understand WHY I am where I am.

For new people, picking up on the lexicon is important. I think the book did a great job on that. It is a book of lists so it hits on a lot of things but Ariana did a great job of making it anything but tedious.

Also, her references at the end of the book were great and I actually read them (who reads all the references?.. apparently I did this time… strange).

For the place where I am (new but learning quickly) it is a 10/10.

I think the books a winner then. It’s definitely a keeper and good for developing a foundation from which someone can grow.
