Hello everyone on the forum, as I am new my collection of tea is minimal the question I am asking is there any information here or anywhere else information about using another tea that could represent the I don’t have for example on today’s daily ritual the tea is Pu Erh Tea, what could I replace that tea with? also is there a printout on different teas commonly used I have looked but I can’t find anything here probably typing the wrong word around it. 🫖 🍵

@moonstruck

You don’t need the tea stated on each day as the amount of different teas would be immense. I buy a combination box which has a few of each not separate boxes as this would cost a lot.

This is my thoughts but you go with want you feel is right. I am sure my fellow Witches will give more examples.

- Tasseography I would use an Assam Loose Tea.

- White Tea - which is universal like a White Candle

- Any Green Teas - there are lots of combinations ie, Green Tea & Lemon 🍋

- Pure Camomile - will help sleep.

- Fruit Teas - could represent a Harvest.

- Herbal Teas - which again are combinations

My go to would be a White Tea as it covers everything.

Blessed Tea 🌘🔯💚🫖

Hi Moonstruck!

I second Moonbeam about not needing the exact tea to do a tea ritual. It is common to substitute one tea with another but get the same outcome/spell result/etc. This is done by substituting one tea (or other magickal ingredient) for a different tea/ingredient that has the same or very similar magickal correspondence.

Here are some correspondence charts that list general properties of everything from herbs to days of the week to moon phases etc. Lists like these make checking magickal correspondences (and finding suitable substitutions) easier, especially for folks new to the Craft.

> **[Magickal Correspondences: Useful Printable Charts & Tables (PDF)](https://spells8.com/magical-correspondences-chart/)**
>
> Magickal correspondences are a fundamental concept in many occult practices, serving as a system of symbolic associations that connect different elements of the universe. They are based on the idea of "as above, so below," which suggests that there...

As for a tea ritual switch, here an example: in a lavender tea ritual that is meant to be relaxing, a good substitution could be a different tea with the same properties - something that relaxes. In this case, chamomile or lemon balm could work. The caster could follow the same ritual and read the same chant (you may need to switch a few words, but that’s fine) and get the same result, just with a different tea.

Of course, the more a ritual is focused on the ingredient, the more changes will be necessary to substitute that key ingredient. And for rituals where something is consumed (like a tea or potion), there is also the edibility and taste of an ingredient to consider.

Sometimes changing a ritual based around a key ingredient becomes more work than finding a more general recipe, or even crafting one’s own custom ritual. So I’d suggest considering those options, too!

Hmmm … I think there is, let me see what I can find!

There is a list of tea magick printable pages here, but I don’t see different types listed on one sheet:

> **[Tea Magick Witchcraft Pages](https://spells8.com/tea-magick-witchcraft-pages/)**
>
> Have you ever wondered what the Magic potions in fairy tales taste like? 🍵 Modern Witches choose to recharge their levels of energy with Magic Potions such as freshly brewed tea. Taking a moment to enjoy a cup of tea is also a way to connect with the...

The [Herbal Correspondences sheet](https://spells8.com/magical-correspondences-chart/#:~:text=Herbal%20Correspondences%20Chart) might be helpful, as many of the herbs listed (though not all!) can be found in herbal teas.

There is a tea types pages in the [Tea Spells Collection](https://spells8.com/tea-spell-recipes/) - perhaps this is what you had in mind?

I love that site you linked, Mooncalendar is one of my favorites for tracking moon phases! 🌚 ✨

Yes, it’s looking like the “pinnacle” of the new moon will be 11:26pm tonight (the 10th) here in Eastern Time Zone, which is on the 11th in Australia. But like full moons, there’s usually a window before and after the pinnacle where the moon will appear new (or full) to the naked eye. Some folks give up to 3 days on either side of the phase for new or full moon work. So I’d encourage everyone to feel free to celebrate the new moon with a ritual today, tomorrow, or whenever things align and feel right 😊

Wishing everyone a happy new moon! 🥳 🌚
