The best time of year has started, for me 😂

I’m so excited. The start of Samhain, Bonfire night and Yule, starts with Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC (I think it’s called Dancing with the Stars in America). Then Doctor Who, new season.
Fabulous, and it’s raining , finally. Ha ha, just wanted to share the joy. The Strictly Halloween dances are the best, the costumes are magical.

Hooray for happy times! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ve never watched Dancing with the Stars (or Doctor Who – don’t come for me!) but I do have my favorite shows playing when I want to get all cozy! Right now, I’m watching Call the Midwife! I just started recently and I’m on season three – so many seasons to watch!

Call the midwife, that’s my mum’s favourite show.:sparkling_heart:

It’s such a good show. I’m loving it so far! I always wanted to be a nurse in the obstetrics ward of a hospital. That didn’t pan out for me because… life just has a way of going a different direction  but I can live vicariously through the show, that’s for sure!

I imagine myself one of the fabulous dancers, :dancer: It works great in my head until I look in the mirror :joy::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

haha I’ve never been one to dance, especially with as much grace as some of those folks! I can imagine, though – I much prefer to sing!

Awww, I love Dancing with the Stars, it’s pure poetry in motion and the atmosphere is liquid magic! :hugs: :dancer: :sparkles: A new season just started here as well, and I’m enchanted  :pink_heart:

More Doctor Who is lovely too, more to watch when we get to have another marathon with my girlfriend! :smile_cat: We’re going to miss the Thirteenth Doctor though… “we’re going to get through this. Probably. Definitely.” is something we picked up from her :joy: Still, David Tennant… it’ll be good to see him again. :silver_heart:

There’s a fun new show here, I needed to check its name, in English it’s called Traitors. No spoilers please if you know the format :joy: It’s much like the game Werewolf, there’s a group of people, and a few of them are secretly assigned traitors, and every night they gather in secret to murder someone. And of course no one but them know their identity, so paranoia runs high :smiling_imp: And the place for it is perfect, an old spooky manor house, would be perfect for witchy workings too :smile_cat: It’s been just two episodes, and I already have a favorite, the sweetest little girl no one could suspect of anything, yet she’s one of the Traitors and she hides it so well! :innocent: I looked into her, and she has an ASMR channel and has published a collection of the sweetest sex stories  It’s always us quiet ones…

@CelestiaMoon Sounds interesting. I do love winter, all the good telly returns cuz we’re stuck indoors, although I will still sit outside, it’s something special, sat outside with cuppa hot something, and a coat and hat on a cold day. Feels cozy. :heartpulse:

I don’t know about the show, but there’s a game I like to play sometimes like this! It’s called Town of Salem :joy: and it’s pretty fun! The townspeople have to figure out who the bad people are in town before everyone dies. The roles are randomly assigned, too, so one game you could be a townsperson with an important job, such as investigator, and the next game you could be the serial killer! :hocho: I’m not very good at playing the bad people because I’m not a good liar lol but it’s a fun game!

It sounds very similar! The Loyal (which is everyone except the Traitors) don’t have any assigned jobs at least yet, but they might self-organize in interesting ways to catch the traitors, before they pick them off one by one. They have the power to exile someone everyday (and they have to), and it would be a good thing if it’s one of the Traitors and not one of their own…

I feel the same way :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: And walks in the dark can be lovely too

I’m passionate about always speaking the truth… maybe that’s why it’s so fun to watch the contestants forced to lie, and squirm with both their own conscience and whether they get caught, overthinking their every expression and micro-movement… my inner sadist is getting a real treat :joy:

That’s exactly how the game is! This conversation is making me want to play it again :joy: maybe later, when I have some time!

You and me both, even when playing a game that relies on telling lies if you have to lol I just can’t do it! Part of that issue is that I have a not-so-great memory, so it’s hard for me to remember what I have already said. I get caught that way so easily :joy:

Awww, go for it! :sparkling_heart:

I’ve been told I have both good memory and intuition, I’d probably be very dangerous… so after the first game I’d probably be exiled pretty quick just to be sure!

haha one of the things I love about the game is that you can change your name each game so no one knows who you are! Or you can let it randomize. The random names in the game are based on people accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials here in the states!

I’m glad they’ve thought of that, adds a lot to the replayability! Aaand if you’re the only one in the table who’s a witch for real… :witch_hat:

I’m going to check that game out.

Yay for Fall and cooler weather. I am waiting not so patiently! :fallen_leaf:

This is my favorite time of the year too. I love that feeling when the weather shifts going from hot and humid to cool and crisp.
One thing I will miss about spring and summer is my evening walks. Soon, if I want to go out for a walk, it would have to be after lunch and not after dinner.
I told myself I wouldn’t do this, but I bought some more fall decorations— an old fashioned truck with pumpkins in the trunk and a sign that says, “hello fall”, two wooden coffee mugs that say “it’s fall ya’ll and “pumpkin spice is life”— and a small witch’s broom that says, “Boo!” for Samhain.

Oh this sounds great. I’m going to have to go look at the shops, they always have such lovely stuff this time of year :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf::sparkling_heart:

You’re all making me jealous that you get autumn and I’m stuck with spring. :joy: I’m going to have to hop on a plane to the northern hemisphere.

I think out of all the seasons, Spring is my favorite. The plants and animals are coming alive again after the cold winter. That’s why my witch name is Ostara! Lol! :blossom:
