I was listening to Wardruna…they are absolutely my favorite band of all time. https://www.youtube.com/embed/EYF2QPBTi58?feature=oembed&wmode=opaque My husband and I saw them in Boston Mass in October…SUCH an amazing show - if you can go…GO! This song Hibjørnen - is taking on the perspective of a hibernating bear….representing the circle of life, the slowness of winter and a connection to nature. It’s such a beautiful song, and story. Which of course got me to thinking about this time of year…with Winter Solstice right at our heels..if you live on the Northern Hemisphere. As the year draws inward and the nights grow longer, nature invites us into a sacred rhythm: hibernation. Just as bears retreat to their dens, trees shed their leaves, and the earth slows its pulse, this season calls us to pause, reflect, and nurture ourselves from within. I think we as humans have gotten out of sync with the seasons…with nature. I am trying very hard to honor this better myself. Hibernation isn’t just sleep—it’s an intentional time of restoration. It’s a gentle whisper from the universe, urging you to honor your body, mind, and spirit. By stepping away from the noise and busyness, you allow your energy to recharge, your creativity to stir beneath the surface, and your intentions for the coming season to crystallize. This is the perfect moment to slow your pace, practice mindful stillness, and reconnect with your inner self. Journaling, meditation, or simply enjoying quiet moments by candlelight can serve as your personal hibernation rituals.🥰 When spring emerges, you will rise renewed—ready to bloom, create, and grow.
