I love photography. I don’t personally believe any of the negative things, like that it can steal part of one’s soul or anything.

But that being said, I don’t really like photographing people. If there are people in the shot, that’s fine, but I mean, I don’t like doing portraits or fashion shoots, etc. even after trying both for a while. So, maybe there’s something to that. Honestly, I think it’s just my social awkwardness and whatever symptoms of ASD I have. But yeah…

Having been an only child, living with a shutter bug, I was the only thing of which Mom had to take photos. She refused to take landscapes without someone in them. I learned to strongly dislike her posing me because it seemed so fake. Me smiling with teeth showing is more like taking pics of a werewolf.

Mom said it captured a moment in time- not the way she did it! There was no honesty to it. She learned to hide the camera and surprise- shoot me, and those turned out much better.

I could understand how being posed could feel unnatural :heart::heart: but I’m sure eu take lovely photos :heart_eyes:
