Hi @TheMuslimWitch,
It’s a great question! There sure is some conflicting advice about what one “should” or “shouldn’t do” during an eclipse - especially lunar eclipses, as they happen during a Full Moon.
For those who’d like to cast full moon magick, but are worried about any potential effects of the lunar eclipse, I’d suggest simply not casting during the time of the eclipse. A full moon stays around 99% illuminated for three days or so, so there is plenty of time to cast outside of the influence of the eclipse.
Alternatively, there are witches who welcome the energy of the lunar eclipse in their spellwork - and that’s fine too! All celestial influences have their own energies, all of which can be incorporated into your practice.
There are lots of ideas for eclipse spellwork and activities! Here are a few:
For those who would like to honor the lunar eclipse but wish to refrain from casting during the time of the dark moon, Shadow Work is often recommended.
Additional ideas and discussions can be found in the eclipse tag, too
Whatever you choose to do, wishing you a blessed Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, @TheMuslimWitch! Have a nice one
