Hi @mindy6 and welcome. Great answers here, and very similar to my own thoughts.
I’m Jayne, a novice witch, originally from England and now living in Texas. I recently adopted the witch name Greenbriar as I felt it more closely aligned with my practice, which leans towards nature- and earth-magic.
I hope you enjoy the forum, and look forward to getting to know you. Feel free to jump in to any conversation that interests you, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Welcome to the Coven, @mindy6 and Merry Meet! I’m Feathertip, from Michigan in the US. We’re so glad you decided to join us!
It sounds like you’ve asked yourself the tough questions, the ones you have to be in tune with yourself to be able to answer. Welcome to the journey!
You’ve joined a Coven full of caring, kind and knowledgeable people. Please don’t hold back if you have questions about anything. There’s a lot to learn here, and we have a lot of fun, too!
Hi, @mindy6! I’m Amethyst from Southern West Virginia. Welcome to the forum!
A lovely opening statement you have here! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us! You’ll find many friendships here; we’re a great bunch if I may say so. And I wouldn’t worry too much about evil entities floating about. Sure, they’re there. But it’s sort of like humans. You’ve got good ones, okay ones, slightly butthurt ones, and so forth. I like to think that the good ones and okay ones outnumber the rest.
However, if you are worried, there’s a bunch of Protection Spells on the site, some of them very easy to do!
If you have any questions or anything, ask, and someone will pop up to give you a hand. I look forward to getting to know you!

Those are some great reflective answers! It sounds like you have put a lot of heart into your practice, what it means to you, and your hopes/goals in your Craft. That’s wonderful! I hope your journey in magick brings you many blessings.
Please make yourself at home here in the forum - explore around and know that you are welcome to jump into any discussions that call to you. I’m looking forward to chatting with you more around the space!
To be a witch is to believe in forces unseen and use/work with these forces to make a change that you wish. I follow the Rede but I will use binding spells when necessary. (Take a look at my post/spell for Donald Trump).
I have no fears except the present governmental administration!
As far as God/dess, I do not believe in any Supreme Being as such (I was raised an athiest), but I have a peculiar belief (that I can go on, in an individual basis) that there are spirits and I “use” names just to identify who I am talking to/about, whose/the elemental that I need help from. I call by name and use the 5 gestures also. Because this is such a male dominant country/era also; I stick to female names (not just raised athiest, but feminist too). I love the craft, as you said for what it teaches the peace if used properly and respected. (sorry, I don’t understand the @ for direct e-mails)
