CW: This talks about death.
Eurynomous (known affectionately as Eury) is one of the gentlest death demons I’ve worked with. He has a compassionate nature and has moved me to put this post.
Why? I do not know. But part of his role is not only to guide our loved ones onto their next journey, but to also guide us through our grief so we can continue with our journey of life, as we say goodbye.
He can help us to accept that the realm of the living and the realm of the dead are interconnected and noone is lost forever.
Here’s a beautiful short film that encompasses what Eury has shown me followed by a short ritual if you feel the need to ask this beautiful demon for help.
The ritual should be done at night, if you wish to call him:
You’ll need:
Somewhere quiet, alone.
Incense and matches.
A black candle.
A pot of soil if inside, if outside choose a spot where you can access loose soil easily.
A picture of Eurynomous sigil.
Find somewhere quiet, alone and at night.
Light some incense.
Light a black candle
If you’re outside, run your fingers through some soil, and feel the earth in your hands. If you’re inside do the same with a pot of soil.
Now draw with your finger into the soil his sigil.
Here’s 2 to choose from.
As you’re connecting to the earth say his Enn.
Ayer Secore On Ca Eurynomous
Close your eyes, remember your loved one, tell Eury all about them, stay as long as you wish. Let all your feelings flow freely. Feel his warmth surround you. When you’re ready, thank him. Say goodnight. Blow out your candle.
Now draw his sigil on a piece of paper and fold it up.
Keep his sigil with you, for as long as you need it. When you no longer need his sigil, burn the paper, this symbolically changes the sigils form, allowing your feelings to rise to Eury.
Blessed be
