MEMORIES
Where do memories come from?
How does memory travel to the brain?
Are memories just an electrical impulse in our nervous system?
Why do we sometimes forget the most important things?
Why do we remember negative emotions, that we’d rather forget?

“Like a riddle, wrapped in mystery inside an enigma.”(1).

Are there elusive, sheer curtains that are opaque, for lack of a better
word, a barrier in our mind? You can see vague images, but not always clearly.
I believe that memory is abstract concepts, about ideas and things that don’t exist in present physical space. We have vague or vivid ghosts (thoughts ) sliding in and out of our consciousness. We call _them_ memories.

But just because they’re not tangible doesn’t mean they aren’t real. No one would doubt that things like love, happiness, altruism, wisdom, and foolishness don’t exist. Once experienced, we pull these memories out of our brains, real or not, they rest somewhere in magick of our mind.

**Where do memories come from?**
When you see, hear, feel, taste, touch and smell, each experience is imprinted on us. Essentially a memory. This memory, or impulse, travels up to the speed of light.(2)
If you stub your toe, suddenly the body realizes, “Wow, that
hurts!” And then you pamper your wounded toe.

**Why do we sometimes forget the most important things?**
I almost think that is a learned condition. Anxiety, fear, societal learning?
Pier pressure, who knows.

**Why do we remember bad decisions or experiences, that we’d rather forget?**
Guilt is a terrible thing to waste and an excellent teacher. I’m not saying the brain is an independent sentient entity, but it housed in a remarkable living machine. Bad memories are a constant reminder of lessons learned, or action not to be repeated.

Blessed be
