Uti-Seta is a form of Nordic meditation where we (the pupil) seek knowledge from a higher source (the teacher). How can we connect with that higher source? Our paths must intersect for the knowledge to pass from them to us. Known as The Crossroads.
The experience is unlike normal meditation and feels more like channelling the spirits energy through you. You can receive any messages through any of your Clairs, sounds, visions, feelings. Write or draw what you experience then sit with it for awhile. What did your spirit share with you?
To do this you’ll need:
Somewhere quiet and alone.
A hand mirror.
An animal bone (or drumstick if you prefer non animal).
A thick black head scarf to veil yourself that blocks out all light.
A journal and writing/drawing tools.
Find your sacred spot.
Sit and breathe for a few minutes to centre and ground.
Pick up your mirror, and gaze into the glass acknowledging the two worlds, yours and theirs, just gaze into the mirror until you feel still inside.
You will feel guided to a power spot where you are sitting, you’ll feel the energy in the ground. On this spot take your bone or drumstick and hit that spot 3 times to call the attention of the spirit/s you are seeking.
Now cover your head and face with the black cloth. Staring into the black cloth you can now either continue drumming, humming or singing as you receive any messages, or you may sit in silence.
The next part will be between you and whichever spirit you have called. You will experience very personal messages that may manifest in many ways. You may hear them, see visions, feel their feelings. You may experience a rocking motion in your body, tingling and other physical sensations, when I do this I feel a heaviness come over me.
Now remove your veil, and write, draw whatever you experienced. I use this method to have deep conversations with Loki, but you can use this method to talk to any deity, spirit, demon, the Fae, or whoever.
Here’s a video of Freyia and how she uses it.
