šŸŽŽ Weekly Witchy CHALLENGE - A Witch's Collection

I made the leather wrapped one for a witchy challenge a few years ago, but the other ones were purchased. There is a crystal shop in ā€œOld Town Springā€ that I purchased the ones with the large crystals on them. I have my eye on one more, then my collection will be complete! Mallott’s Hardware & Variety I think they have an online shop.

Challenge Entry

This will probably be another boring entry because I have most of my collections tucked away at the moment, but I feel like this is yet another good challenge for me – I’ve always been a collector of various things, and that has definitely also extended into my spiritual life

I have a tendency to hoard rocks. I have a few pretty crystals, but most of what I tend to collect is just plain, simple stones that I find while I’m out and about. I have always felt a very deep connection to flint, so I have lots of that in my Sam’s-Club-size coffee cans.

Another thing I have been obsessed with since I was little was every single key I could get my hands on. I have saved every key I could over the years and have a tub that I’m able to pull from for various workings as well.

I also collect books. Ever since I began my spiritual journey, I’ve been particularly attracted to the obvious pagan/witchcraft/occult books, but also cookbooks. I use cookbooks and family recipes heavily in my personal practice to connect with my ancestors and Others.

Like most others here, I also tend to collect notebooks, tarot and oracle cards, teas, and herbs.

Language and communication are important in both my mundane and magickal lives, so I also have a huge collection of pens and pencils that I use for different things.

Most of the things I collect are pretty much standard things that people tend to collect  Now I just need to find better, more efficient ways to organize these things! lol

I really enjoyed looking through your collections! It’s fun to get a glimpse into what other people have! Your little jars of crystals are adorable. And if I’m being honest, I’m that weird friend too!

Skeleton keys are so cool. That’s one thing I could see myself collecting and gosh I love your Hecate statue :black_heart:

Oh, my goddess!!! Books and books and decks and books and more decks! Loved taking a peek at all the goodies you shared!

So much fun looking at the photos of your crystals and books!

:open_mouth: :hushed: :astonished: Amazing collection of tarot/oracle decks! :tarot_card:

Teas and candles and crystals and jars of goodness! Can I come visit?

Lovely selection of tarot/oracle decks! Oh… and the crows!!! :black_heart:

Thank you for sharing your collections! I really enjoyed perusing all your wonderful photos

Your Celtic and moon collections are gorgeous! :crescent_moon:

I am mesmerized by your writing tools! I’ve only recently started using fountain pens and have one dip pen and I’m hooked! This is such a beautiful set. :fountain_pen: and those gorgeous altar cloths  I admire your organization, something I wish to aspire to.

What an enticing collection of incense! I admit that is one thing I don’t have much of. :incense:
@Amberleic so much fun to read all the book titles! I have a few of the same ones  and that dish of stones and crystals… amazing!!!

Adore your collection of wands! I have to admit I love the two with purple flowers and the amethyst! :purple_heart:

I admit to envy… your collections and elegant organization skills are so admirable and gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.

 Thank you! I feel like I spend most of my time running looking for feathers and other cool things! :feather: :bug:

Thank you! :herb: Most of the terrariums were made from moss, ferns, and little plants I find either at work or in my backyard. I started making them in the winter so I’d have a bit of the green outside inside.

I love your collections! I can feel the witchy aura around your home and am convinced it must be a warm and inviting place.

My eye caught sight of the ā€˜echte ananas’ (genuine pineapple) picture on your wall. The language is familiar to me and just added to the feeling of warmth.
Thanks for sharing!

I do that too! It’s the sentimentalist in you that wants tangible reminders of everyday pleasures, maybe? I was fortunate that my random rock, piece of seashell, bird feather, etc., have a safe haven in the craft.
Here’s one thing that popped into my head with regards to your key collection: Craft ancients believed that metal protects against malevolent entities. In the witch’s jar/bottle, for example, the idea is that the urine (ammonia) attracts the entity and the metal keeps them trapped.
Maybe subconsciously your ā€œunlocking a protective forceā€ around you with your key collection?
Just a thought.
Thank for sharing!

Magical Seals are a useful tool in any mage’s toolbox, a tool with which they are given the ability to work magic, that is, to cause change in accordance with the Will. The word sigil has its roots from the Latin signum meaning sign and also from sigillum meaning seal.the seals exist in ancient grimoires such as the Solomonic one, it is said that they were given by the spirits. The sigil is designed by us. Both must be charged with our spiritual power, but the seal also needs an appeal to the Spirit that opens

Weekly Witchy Challenge for Amethyst

Let’s see… I collect books, God and Goddess statues, incense, teas, different colored candles, and crystals. All sorts of things. But I thought I’d share something that I just started collecting. Therefore it’s not packed up and out of the way like my incense and candles and Oracle cards.

I recently got an oil diffuser. And while I have pure essential oils I’ve been buying the blends too. So here’s a little of what I’ve got. They include things like Earth, Campfire, Violet, Sandalwood, Tea Tree and I’m getting a Lemon Sugar one this week.

I plan on getting some for Halloween and Christmas seasons too. So yeah, I’ve kind of gone overboard. Heh. At least my apartment will smell nice!

Thank you Crystal and I wouldn’t mind at all if you picked them up.

I have too many pics. I’ll try to limit them to a few, but it may not work

I have collected Dragons for at least a quarter century. :gift_heart:

I even built a bookcase with cloud shelves for them to live, but it is not nearly big enough. :imp:

I have a few books, both magickal and mundane, but they are all part of me and therefore part of my practice. The Altar and computer is where I spend most of my time when home.

And I’ll finish for now with Essential Oils and new Crystal aquisitions

Thanks for putting up with all these pics. I have only been in the Craft for a little while, but I have been searching spirit and the unexplained for most of my life. That gives me more than a few years to find and collect ā€œstuffā€

Love and Light :goat:
