**Challenge entry 3** > [@compass Weekly Witchy CHALLENGE- Celestial Exploration!](https://forum.spells8.com/t/weekly-witchy-challenge-celestial-exploration/2619): > > Very warm greetings to all! raised_hands Thank you again to everyone who participated in last weekā€™s challenge: [Trying Something New!](https://forum.spells8.com/t/weekly-witchy-challenge-trying-something-new/2448) It is time for round two, and the theme for this challenge will beā€¦ star milky_way Celestial Exploration! first_quarter_moonstar [ascension-1568162\_1920] medal_sports CHALLENGE TIME!sparkles In order to successfully complete this challenge, there are two easy parts: STEP 1: Exploring the Celestial Heavens milky_wayFor those who are more adā€¦ For this challenge, I explored the upcoming May full moon. The May full moon is called the Flower moon. It is also called the Corn Planting moon, the Hare moon, the Milk moon, Frog moon (I do hear a lot of frogs at the local pond) Egg laying moon, Planting moon, or the Budding moon. The moon is named in honour of the flowers that start to grow at this time of year. The other titles are all related to events happening in spring. This is a time of becoming, what we have planted begins to grow. This is spiritually, psychically, energetically, and physically. On so many levels we have planted and we are growing. This is where I notice where I didnā€™t pay attention to what I was planting as I donā€™t always enjoy what I see growing, if that makes sense.( sometimes I have ā€œplantedā€ weeds šŸ˜¬šŸ˜‚ ) It is also a time where I enjoy and Iā€™m grateful for the things that are growing in the way that I intended. This moon is about blossoming into our best selves and reaching our highest potentials. It is a good reminder to embrace the cycles of life as we cycle out of winter into spring. Apparently there will be a partial lunar eclipse this year, not visible in my area. Here is a link to an article I read on the flower moon written by the [Peculiar Brunette](https://www.thepeculiarbrunette.com/the-flower-moon-meaning-and-rituals/). The full moon in May will occur on May 5 and it will be a full moon in Scorpio. Here is a link to the Spells8 ritual for the Flower Moon. > **[Full Flower Moon: Spell & Ritual (May)](https://spells8.com/full-flower-moon-spell/?_ga=2.28812981.82020909.1672921429-1480006624.1654588667)** > > May is the month of the Flower Moon.Ā Full Moon celebrations are sometimes known as Esbats and they are periods of high energy. But Mayā€™s Flower Moon also occurs when Nature is at full bloom (in the Northern Hemisphere), the flowers are...
