I love it. I’ve watched it a few times. I get creeped out by the seer.
Thank you so much priestess of the Norse
Thank you!
Gosh, there are so many beautiful entries already.
I don’t even know where to start. My heart says Loki, my mind says, “But we could study so much more!”
I seem to be focusing on reminiscing with these challenges, lately. This isn’t intentional, so forgive me if I seem odd.
Challenge Entry
TW death
When I first started studying paganism in general, runes were my first tool. I bought a set by Ralph Blum.
I was terrified of being burned at the stake. After all, I’d been all but excommunicated just because my father had died young. So I made a book of meanings featuring quotes from the Bible to hide that these were not Christian and told myself that the Jewish High Priest used the Urim and Thummim in a similar way.
I carried the runes in a leather bag on my belt. Mom had figured out that carrying a purse on one’s shoulder threw the body off balance, so I used bags on a belt around my waist, instead, and tried to balance each side.
Whenever I’d use the restroom, I’d take an extra moment in the peace of privacy to draw a rune- at most one a day. It took a bit to get used to them, but once I did, they made sense in my life every time I drew one. It amazed me that such a random thing could apply to my life!
Hmm. I’ve come a long way!
BTW- I found that my birth rune is Ansuz- Communication. Hour is Fehu- Success. Here’s hoping!
This is beautiful Georgia
I’m biased, I’d love to see your experience with the beastie
You will. I just spent the last 6 hours preparing to and building him a (digital) temple.
Haven’t even finished the entrance…
Oh I’m so excited. You know he’ll never move out now right
Well, he’s in the edge of a nice dark forest on a small cliff overlooking a beach and the ocean, next to a tall snowy mountain, with a view of a branch of Yggdrasil in the sky. There are wooden Fenrir head sculptures and three black tapestries outside the doors, and a roof that took me a lot of scaffolding and falling off to make happen.
So, I’d hope he takes up permanent residence after all of this.
Sounds delightful
That seer is creepy, but the show is great. I’m hooked and binge watching it.
Flóki is funny. But they don’t like my beastie, “Loki thrives on mead and death!”
Yeah i was hooked when I watched it. Floki loves Loki and all the Gods…he is fiercly devoted to them so he is on your side
My thoughts was Loki too when I have time lol . Couldn’t think of anything else. I definitely don’t choose golem inside joke
if I have time
Beautiful meditation
Thank you! I really hesitated to include it in my entry even after I’d tried it myself. I feel I don’t have the knowledge or authority to create something like that and share it as though I know what I’m doing.
( I even hid it on my entry)
The knowledge comes from the gods I believe anyway, so if they shared it with you, thankyou for sharing it with us. I’ve bookmarked it, it’s lovely Don’t doubt yourself, you’re an amazing witch.
Weekly Witchy Challenge for Amethyst:
I wasn’t sure what to do this week so I thought I’d look up Nordic traditions with the Summer Solstice, and I found this wonderful video! Okay, so the background music is annoying but the information is great!
And, just to push one of my favorite music groups, I leave you with this:
Happy Solstice!
