So some of you might know Iā€™m waiting to get my Selene tattoo - but due to COVID and travel restrictions I havenā€™t been able to make it over to my friends to get it started :broken_heart:

However, Iā€™ve been thinking about getting a tattoo to represent how I feel like Iā€™m in a new phase of my life and Iā€™ve settled on a sun :sunny: as I feel like it symbolises rebirth, power, fire etc.

Happily, another one of my (local) tattooist friends has a slot available on Tuesday evening so my Sun tattoo is booked in for then  Iā€™ll post a pic after. :fire:

I use Fire, and Candle Magick all the time. It is my Go to method of Spell Work. Fire Magick is for Quick results.
I often use a petition with the Fire Magick. I write the petition to the Gods and the Elements, fold it three times with a Bay Leaf tucked in it, say the chant and light it on my working candle or throw it into the bonfire. When indoors I drop the burning petition into a ceramic brazier.
I used this method to Quit smoking eleven years ago. The chant went like this; ā€œBy the mighty God, in this flame my desire I see, take this scourge of Tobacco from me, by the Gracious Goddess in this flame my desire I see take this scourge of Tobacco from me, by the Element of Air in this flame my desire I see take this scourge of Tobacco from me, by the Element of Fire in this flame my desire I see take this scourge of Tobacco from me, by the Element of Water in this flame my desire I see take this scourge of Tobacco from me, by the Element of Earth in this flame my desire I see take this scourge of Tobacco from me. By the God and Goddess and the Elements, I am a non-smoker from this time forth. As I will so shall it be with harm to none, So Mote it BE!ā€ Then I lit the petition on a black candle during a waning crescent moon. From that time since the very odor of a cigarette disgusts me.
I keep a jug of water under my altar in case Fire Element gets out of hand.

I use fire magick all the time! Bay leaf burning, burning herbs to smoke cleanse, and my all time favorite is using it as a mental exorcism.

Basically you free write and get out all the ā€˜yukā€™ from inside you - and then burn it! Release that stuff! YAY fire. lol

Last December when I came out of the broom :broom: closet to my siblings and they were really nice about it I decided to throw an impromptu fire magick ritual at them they could participate in too. It was the first time I had done any kind of a group ritual, so it felt pretty special to be actually hosting one! Dressed for the occasion too, I was radiating power and self confidence that surprised me too.

We were sitting at my kitchen table, no electric lights, just candles :candle: I took my cauldron (a cooking pot, you use whatā€™s available) and lifted it ceremoniously to become the centerpiece of the table. I explained them how the ritual works and asked for their consent once more. Once I got it I gave them and myself a pen and a piece of paper. We each wrote one thing on the paper we wanted to banish from our lives, and folded it in two and once more in two to keep it private. Openness and transparency are generally nice, but some things you want to keep secret especially if you want to burn and not communicate them!

After we all had cast our ballots I poured some clear liquid on top of them from an amber glass bottle. The liquid was denatured ethanol, but they didnā€™t need to know that, it was just some mystery potion brewed for this purpose. I lit a match and tossed it in, making sure none of us who wanted to keep their eyebrows were leaning too close, and we were greeted with a satisfying ball of fire :fire: The effect was diminished a little as I hadnā€™t thought about my choice of paper and had to keep igniting them, but my guests picked it up nicely by mentioning that the things might not be that easy to banish after all! Which may have been the case, who knows? I made a mental note to look into it, either get some thin and more flammable paper, or look into finding bay leaves somewhere.

When all we had in the cauldron was fine ash, it was time to give it a final release by scattering it into the wind. Cast it into the darkness literally as it was the end of December. That also meant it wasnā€™t warm at all, and you wouldnā€™t go out without a good reason. In a solemn silence I led them to the balcony, and released our worries into the wind. The atmosphere lightened instantly, the mass of negative energy finally leaving us for good. I was happy about the experience I could give them, and their openness to receive it.

Thats a great idea to get a tattoo about how you feel! Express yourself! I would like to get a sun tat and moon. I always wanted the sun moon but there are so many to pick from! I also have a friend that does tattoos and my cousin does tats! Some day I will!
Have fun girl we only live once!! I hope it turns out really good!

I found that folding a petition too tightly makes it difficult to keep them lit. When I light them on a candle I place them in the Brazier burning end down so it can consume the paper better.

Thanks @Jeannie1 :slightly_smiling_face: I have a few small tattoos, all mean something to me- pentagram star on the back of my neck, air water and earth symbols, treble clef and stars on my foot.

Canā€™t wait to get my Selene one too!

Thatā€™s cool your cousin does tattoos!

That makes sense now that I think of it, thereā€™s no room for air in between so it would be like burning paper thatā€™s 2 or 4 times as thick! And holding it over the flame exposes the other side to air and fire too. Thank you for your advice @john4!

Oh my goodness that is so sweet of your siblings, @CelestiaMoon  :two_hearts: They not only accepted you with open arms, they did a whole ritual to bring you all together- I am in awe! You are blessed with so much love and light around you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I finished my fire challenge! :fire:

Itā€™s difficult for me to think of myself as beautiful sometimes because I was teased throughout high school. About six months before I started my journey, I went through a difficult breakup. I still think of him from time to time wondering what I did wrong or why things didnā€™t work out for us.

Anyway, these experiences helped me choose Venus as my matron goddess and do my fire challenge on a Friday, a day to focus on self-love and being opened to receive love.

I used the Wiccan Flower Fire Spell on this site as a basis for my fire magick spell. I prepared myself by taking a rose oil bath, diffused rose essential oil around my altar, placed my statue of Venus, seashells, and rose quartz in the center, dressed two pink candles in rose oil, and asked Alexa to play ocean waves. I then cast a circle, invoked Venus, lit the candles, wrote my name on a piece of paper, put it in my cauldron, and poured pink wax onto it while chanting words of self-love and acceptance.

The ritual was lovely and helped motivate me to get a lot done today. :relaxed: Whenever Iā€™m feeling bad about myself (or lacking motivation), I will consider performing a similar ritual or perhaps drinking a warm mug of hibiscus tea. :hibiscus: :coffee:

I was reading a book called The outer temple of Witchcraft and learned about the Gods that relate to fire and they are Apollo, Appollo

he had become one of the most important gods in ancient Egyptian religion, identified primarily with the noon sun. Ra was believed to rule in all parts of the created world: the sky, the Earth, and the underworld.
Balder Balder
Gods of destruction- God Ares God for courage and war.
Set-Set God

Hephaestus (/hÉŖĖˆfiĖstəs, hÉŖĖˆfɛstəs/; eight spellings; Greek: į¼Ļ†Ī±Ī¹ĻƒĻ„ĪæĻ‚ Hēphaistos ) is the Greek god of blacksmiths, metalworking, carpenters, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metallurgy, fire (compare, however, with Hestia), and volcanoes.[
