Challenge Entry
I had everything I needed for this challenge except an orange and cranberries, so I stopped at the store on my way home. I don’t know why I thought I had an extra day for this challenge and was planning on making this tomorrow. I read somewhere that simmer pots can last for days if you refrigerate the ingredients. It will feel a little more like fall on Wednesday so I will try out that theory. My house smells amazing at the moment. I think I’m going to do this once a week!
Lemon
Apple
Orange
Cranberry
Rosemary
Star Anise
Cinnamon
All Spice (accidentally spilled quite a bit in the pot on accident, but it smells amazing!)
Something else I read about simmer pots is you can put a bag together with all the ingredients (leave the fruit whole) and give them away as gifts for family and friends. I think I’m going to put some of these together for the holidays.
Challenge Entry
I saw this challenge as soon as it opened and immediately jumped into action. But I I never sat down to write me entry.
Since I was feeling yucky still on Wednesday, I wanted to make simmer pot to banish sickness.
Here is the recipe I came up with from the research I did.
Two cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon of clove
1/2 teaspoon of ginger
1/2 teaspoon Eucalyptus leaf
1 tea bag of peppermint India organic peppermint tulsi tea
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon cardamon
I drew three symbols on the Eucalyptus leaves
This healing bund rune, i found on pintrest
I chanted thid while the simmer pot brewed:
With this pot , I cleanse and heal.
This pot while it simmers true, it makes the best brew to help everyone in this house healthy and renewed.
@mystique I am so excited for yours cause my nose get so dry from tje heat being on @airam i can’t wait to make your soup @MeganB thanks for listing the things we should think avoid using if you have pets…

(Curtsey) That is how I intended it. Please share your findings? I’d be interested in whether or not dandelion petals can be used in making beads, but I have no access to the flowers out here.
@georgia , I don’t have any now, but in the spring, if we both remember I can send you a bunch of them!! I harvest and dry them every spring. I’m not sure how well undried dandelions would travel. They may get moldy before reaching you, but I would definitely send you as many dried ones as you want!
Mom tried to send me an undried chicory flower, once. It shriveled up to nothing recognizable and molded along the way. Dried is better. Chicory and dandelion are of the same family.
