@georgia Yes, to the Egyptians, Geb was father Earth while his wife was the sky. Shu’s headdress was an ostrich feather and it symbolised air because of how they drifted in the wind. It is not the same feather as that used in the weighing of the heart (although that was also an ostrich feather, the idea being it was so light that a heart that was lighter was pure). In terms of the soul, the Egyptian soul had 8 parts. The part that was weighed was the ab/ib, which was the heart. It was the seat of emotion, character and moral compass. This is why the heart was the only organ left in the body during mummification.
