Aww thanks. Keeping it looking nice isnât so easy here in Texas. The weeds grow rampantly and the heat and humidity really make it a challenge to âembrace the wildâ, LOL.
Now, youâre a girl (witch) after my own heart! I love seeing pollinator gardens from around the country, and yours is so beautiful! Lovely prayers, too.
Iâve lived in Texas, so I can appreciate the effort it takes to keep everything looking lush and blooming.
Great job.

Thank you @Feathertip . @Ostara can relate too, she lives not far from me.
Challenge entry 2 - Full Moon Magick
So with yesterdayâs full moon I made Moon water as I often do. The challenge this time was that it was the first time I did it with my son (6yo). We each chose a bottle and then put a full moon on them and drew symbols in them. We decide to work with the intentions of love and protection.
Before putting them out, I helped him connect with the moon by exploring it on Stellarium.
When we put them out, we kept it simple and said âBeautiful moon infuse this water with your love and protectionâ
In the morning he said it tasted better than regular water, lol and we decide to put it in a spray bottle to spritz on ourselves before starting our day.
How wonderful to include your 6 yr old son in this ritual ![]()
Thatâs so lovely, @WrenEve!
Challenge Entry -EgyptianPractitioner
Here is my entry! I just started working with the egyptian pantheon, these are my trio! I chose to draw them rather than have statues for now.

Horus
Thoth

Very colorful and very expressive representation of your Egyptian pantheon. ![]()

I love your depictions! Wonderful!
Youâre welcome!
They look great.
Challenge Entry 4
Tactical Magick
As I came home, yesterday, I met up with a neighbor who offered me two apartments to research. I was up in the night checking them out. One was a high- fallutinâ snobbish place at the start of Covid, but was close to a grocery store. One photo upset me: a double spiral staircase reminiscent of The Sound of Music, encircling a shaded chandelier. It seemed so ritzy I had to ask the Universe if it were possible such a place could serve me.
Deeper consideration revealed that the other place I was considering lacked any access to nature in any form, while the ritzy place encircled fountains and greenery while still having access to groceries. My tactical choice, then became what do I want to learn from my new home? I intend to grow with independence, which is offered with both places. Do I learn to deal with confusion from those who think they are better than anyone else, or do I learn to hold space for the homeless and truly caring âtrailer trashâ within myself while I learn to deal with the haughty rich. Hmm. Not much difference, there. All are connected.
Loved the story! I donât do ghosts but I have a friend who is big into it. He and his wife changed the transport to a converted hearse and tour the haunted sites. They have all kinds of gizmos (like in the movie Ghostbusters) and regularly film and post their adventures.
We did the Savannah tours and much of the tour was about ghosts and spirits. It was kinda commercial but super interesting.
Ok. One more entry allowed before the end of the challenge. Iâm still in the process of researching this because things keep showing up, but please know it is only because of time restrictions that I post before Iâm ready.
Challenge Entry 5
Magickal Equilibrium
Usually, when I move, one of my habits is to return natural items to Mother Nature. That means all old herbs, collected stones or pine cones, sticks, wands, walking staffs, feathers, everything, just to lighten my load. I feel that when I get there, I can begin collecting all over again. No big loss because my craft is firmly grounded within, where I need no tools. (No judgement, just personal experience)
This time, however, I seem to have hit an unexpected form of abundance. Herbs and oils keep showing up! Iâm drying them and keeping them in zipper bags in their own backpack.
It has occurred to me that the herbs and oils showing up at the last minute like this may be revealing a lack of balance, and that I need to pay attention to them. I have been working on rebuilding my physical strength after the quarantine of 2020 and subsequent trauma episodes knocked my health for a loop.
A locust was recently cut down. Odd that the parent trees were sunburst locusts- which grow neither bean pods nor thorns, but the trimmed child tree was a honey locust, which hosted thorns. I collected a branch for the thorns, which were once used as nails by some of the pioneers. Thus, strength is the meaning.
The landscapers trimmed the desert blooming willow trees while they were still fully in bloom, so I dried some blossoms and leaves.
Also found include oak leaves and acorns- strength again.
A festival I went to over the weekend gave fresh parsley which had had no water long enough to be naturally dried in the 100°F heat. I even found an unknown seed in my hair after the festival.
Found and indulged in edible seaweed, celery, and lettuce.
When we went exploring farmers markets and the biopark, last week, I came home with pockets full of sunflower blossoms; rain tree seed pods; rose of sharon; a lotus blossom; a branch of mimosa leaves; an odd, flat, hops- like grass seed; nuts from an unfamiliar tree; and local bush flowers of which i know not the names. Our biopark does not post the names of the plants it hosts, unlike the parks in Indiana.
As you see, I still have a lot of research to do before I can fully take advantage of the treasures Iâm being given, but I am collecting and saving them with gratitude and curiosity hoping to use them to balance myself for a clear growth experience in my new home.

Now I understand why. I searched the main site for âroad opener,â âkey under pillow,â even the chant itself, and got love, ocean, various deities, everything but what I was looking for! It is an older post, but I sure canât find it again! Glad I saved it, but itâs on another computer.
Big day expected, today. I will find the spell, but it may take a bit of time. If the challenge ends before I get to you, Iâll PM.
I had grand plans 2 weeks back đ WITCH CHALLENGE ~ Catch-Up! - #3 by Artemisia, but a mild cold put a damper on things for 10 days. I did finish one, which was a big 3-year-long project
However, my daily tarot and Lenormand pulls say that this time is for
others
to shine
not me, so Iâm happy to support this week!!! ![]()

I have always admired people who have handled spirit experiences, especially haunted places, very well. I donât think I would have handled myself as well as you did that first night in your apartment. Kudos to you for being both strong and open to the unexplainable!
