I agree with you entirely Social Media and the perception that we have to conform and are seen to be doing everything. I think it has took over our craft in someways and a lot of the old ways are being lost. I have chosen not to be on any Social Media Platforms as it is not just limited to our craft it encroaches on all areas of life. Our craft is personal and what one Witch does varies greatly with another that is what makes each one of us special. Like you my craft is not doing spells and rituals I do not need to. I do want I feel it’s important to me and enjoy like the Tea Group Ritual for slow living, Fun Friday as it is makes me laugh trying to answer the questions, Self-Care Collective as it makes me reflect and gives positively, the Challenges and Sabbats only if I have time and I love being outdoors in nature as much as I can. try to have a balance life in all areas, Our craft should not be a chore as it becomes that we are not being true to ourselves.
So carry on as you are as it is right for you and do not feel pressured or think you should be doing something. You have found your path and journey and it evolves and changes as we grow.
You have a very kind heart, Georgia! It sounds like you are doing everything you can while continuing to keep faith in the powers of the divine to guide the situation forward. Whether there is an exact moment when you feel ready to shift the energies of the spell or it happens gradually over time, I’m sure everything will work out

When it comes to looking at art, I’ve found that folks will less art experience tend to judge how “good” a piece is by how closely it recreates realism. But one of the best bits of art advice I got was someone asking me: “do you really want to be a very slow photocopy machine?” If we wanted to paint a piece that was hyper realistic, we could with enough time and skill, but that’s a different goal than what most artists set out to do.
Your pieces are a reflection of not only what your eyes saw, but what you felt - art holds much more than a 1-to-1 recreation, it carries a whole experience. The emotions, the energy, the feel of stepping into the scene. This is part of what makes art so special (and part of why machines will never be able to do true art - they cannot feel) and why each piece is such a powerful representative of the person who made it

Learning to be present in the moment is, in my humble opinion, one of the most important things we can do in a practice, and in our day-to-day lives! It’s hard to step back and be mindful but it really does improve the quality of life and open to the door to so many things we otherwise would have missed. I think this is a lovely entry, and I’m proud of you Artemisia!

I’ve been shy for years to share my stuff because of the “realism” pushback I’ve received. This Challenge dared me to post some and the comments have felt very validating.
Well, I didn’t know what kind of passion to work on, so I just asked for passion in my daily life. Still looking for a way to be more awake during the day. So while I had my candles lit, I took my orange-toned bracelets- orange carnelian, orange agate, yellow agate, and citrine- along with a carnelian stone and did this chant:
Fire of life, burn bright and clear, fill my soul with joy right here. Wake my spirit, chase the gray, bring me passion day by day. - So mote it be!
And I visualized myself having lots of energy during the day. I’ve got the carnelian on my altar in front of me, and I’m wearing my bracelets! Hopefully, they’ll give me some zip in my day.
Love your entry and your concept. You are right it is the things we chose to wear each day is our passion. Your chant is beautiful written and I hope that your energy levels increase soon.

Yep, the only problem is that the Yellow agate, orange agate, and orange carnelian all pretty much look the same. Same with two of my other pinkish bracelets. I have to look up on the little cards which one is which.
They are so beautiful - all the oranges and yellow look like shiny crystal fire! I also really like your chant. May energy flow well for you and bring you that zip to carry you through the week!
