šŸ¦‹ WITCH CHALLENGE - Transformation Magick

This is my challenge entry

As you all know, IĀ“m an art-witch, and for me creation and transformation are siblings…there is no transformation without creation and no creation without the energy of transformation.
For me, the most astounding, mind-boggling transformation is taking a simple string of yarn and turning it into something…like this little mushroom that I made. But the same yarn could be transformed into a sweater that keeps you warm, a blanket to snuggle up with, colorful curtains for your window, a little bag to hold your Tarot Deck…
I“m not the most perfect crocheter and time and again I“m so astonished about this art and this magic.

And I don“t know if any of you even would consider this transformation magic, because it seems so mundane, right? Which I think is also just so cool, because through the lens of witchcraft, it is knot magic.

Challenge Entry

Transformation, but make it intentional

I cannot begin to express how aligned this challenge is with where I am and who I continue to become.

I began my journey roughly three years ago with a gentle nudge from some amazing people and then enlightenment that hit like a tsunami. Long story, short, my entire life finally made sense. I actually had HOPE.

A seed was planted that day that blossomed, and grew, and flourished into a beautiful garden of infinite knowledge. I learned all I could, and then I learned more, and then more. During my learning, I was training my brain, changing my mind, harnessing my nervous system, and building a person where there was but a story.

Ultimately, that is what transformation is to me. Being intentional with how, when, and where I grow.

This would probably make more sense to someone that knows me well, but it naturally, has to be on my terms. Nobody is better equipped to build who I am better than me.

I use magick to guide my transformative journey on a daily basis. I use magick when I set my intention. I use magick to help me ground myself in moments of chaos. I use magick to cast myself into the person, or state of mind, I choose.

Chaos magick is not only what I feel in my soul, but it explains exactly how my brain already works. It’s not about following rules. It’s about choosing belief on purpose. Not forever. Not perfectly, just…intentionally.

Chaos Magick teaches that belief is a tool. Something you can pick up, use, and set down when it no longer serves. Which means transformation isn’t about finding yourself. It’s about deciding who you are and stepping into it.

So, instead of asking ā€œwho am I really?ā€ I’m asking ā€œwho do I choose to be, and how do I start acting liker her today?ā€ For me, transformation looks like this:

Letting my past be part of my story, not the author of it.
Choosing growth even when it’s uncomfortable.
Turning small moments into something meaningful.
Becoming someone I would have needed years ago.

Not waiting, not doubting, just building.
Because maybe transformation isn’t something that happens to us.

Maybe it’s something we claim.

My favorit quote fits very well with this challenge:
ā€œYes, you will rise from the ashes, but the burning comes first. For this part, darling, you must be brave.ā€ -Kalen Dion

Blessed be

@Artemisia acceptance of things we cannot alter is the first step to enlightenment, some people try to fight it but I think being open to see what the benefits are is embracing having time to spend with family, things you enjoy without having other outside pressures of work is liberating. I have family members who retired my older Brother was 52 and my Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law at 57 they are enjoying more holidays, are always busy doing something and say that they did not know how they managed whilst still working. Enjoy:grinning_face: I am quite a few years off retirement yet.

@katharina love your mushroom, you are so right that yarn is a form of magic we wear it everyday and even in Pagan Hand-fasting. You are blessed with having an artistic ability I wish that I did there is so much you can do.

@kat1 your entry comes from the

@c11

Hi apologies I have just read your entry I like you struggle with normal meditation always have so for me I just do a meditation whilst having a shower as I can fit it into my daily morning routine before getting ready for work.

Like you I also don’t journal I know that it is beneficial to look back and reassess but for me it is something else on my ā€œTo Do Listā€ I don’t want anything to become a negativity and start worrying that I have not done it and only do what I feel I can realistically achieve to keep my balance.

I have seen the singing bowls online and know that you can get apps for them. I have thought of it. Not sure how my dogs would react but I could try it in the bathroom whilst having my shower:thinking: thank you for reminding me. I listen to Celtic Slow Living Music whilst cleaning, tending my gardens, self-care.

I think this photograph and words sum it up :waning_gibbous_moon::green_heart:

This is HUGE. Most people don’t realize how difficult it is to stop the patterns of work created over a lifetime. Congratulations! May the time you spend help you grow toward an even better future!

Your beautiful mushroom is transformational in many ways- changing string into something 3D, but also the change of one living object into another. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, it merely changes form, which is the greatest transformation in the universe.
