Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 55 minutes
Servings: 12

Ingredients:

12 chocolate cupcakes
6 Oreo cookies
12 Hershey’s chocolate kisses
1/2 batch cream cheese frosting
green and orange food coloring
white and orange sprinkles

Directions:

After making the cream cheese frosting, separate 1/2 cup of the frosting into a separate bowl.

Color the larger amount of frosting green, and color the smaller amount of frosting orange.

Gently split the Oreo in half.

Place a very small spoonful of orange frosting in the center of the top of the Oreo cookie.

Place a Hershey’s kiss on top and press down. Add some sprinkles. Set aside.

Pipe the green frosting into the center of the cupcake (don’t go all the way out to the edges!) and wind it gently up into a few layers.

Place an Oreo witch’s hat on top. Refrigerate cupcakes (covered) until ready to serve

Glad you like them! I thought they’d be cute and colorful for a Halloween party, you know?

They remind me of when I was a kid. My grandparents used to belong to a Scottish club in Heston, just outside of London. Every Halloween, the Scottish club put on a Halloween party and hundreds of kids attended for a blow-out feast, followed by wonderful party games. This was exactly the kind of food that was piled on the lang tables.

I have great memories of those parties. Whoever did the decorating was a creative genius!

That sounds like so much fun! I love parties like that. Especially around Halloween. Our school always did a Halloween carnival with games and dancing and all sorts of things. It was amazing!

Oh this recipe is incredibly cute! It could appeal to the Halloween crowd, the Samhain crowd, and the Wicked crowd simultaneously! :face_savoring_food: This might be the baking activity I try to do with my mom this October…

Thank you! I’m glad you like! I thought they were very cute. If you go back earlier this month, there were some Witch Hat cookies too, and they were adorable!
