I found all these in my 2024 Witches Diary. Thought I’d share my lovelies. Thankfully we don’t share their fate, but we have some regal ancestors.
Blessed be.
This is…unbelievable!! It’s a shame, such beautiful people met such a fate! But still, you’re right! Even if I’m an indian and thus don’t have any long running blood or national relation, i feel good that these magically royal people are our witch ancestors.
@Solasta_Amore Doesn’t matter where we’re from lovely, you’re in Royal company, they’re you’re ancestors too. They’re all our ancestors. I’m sure they must be proud looking at how free we are today💖
I love this so much! It’s funny to me that all of these powerful women were accused of witchcraft. The only person that this makes sense is Catherine De’Medici because of her connection to Nostradamus, the seer. Because I’m a genealogy person, I went through my mom’s ancestry account to find who I’m related to, and how!
→ wife of 12th great-granduncle
→ 14th great-grandmother
I knew that Anne Boleyn was in my family tree somewhere lol but I didn’t know about Elizabeth Woodville. She’s listed in Ancestry with a few different titles or names.
Elizabeth Elisabeth Wydeville Woodville; Grey Queen; Consort of England; Lady of the Garter; “The White Queen”
It looks like I need to go on another dive into my ancestry to figure out why she was called Lady of the Garter, Grey Queen, and The White Queen!
@MeganB How fabulous. Please share what you find out. I so love history. My ancestors on my father’s side goes back to the Anglo saxons and the doomsday book, and if you go further it goes back to old Germany.
I think this topic is very much needed. Thank you for this. To start with, women (and possibly men!) accused of witchcraft back in the days were intelligent. They were certainly ahead of their times. Knew more, saw more. They were considered enemies of the state exactly because all their knowledge and brain. Let’s never forget that and be grateful for them to be a part of the history. Today, being called a witch, is an honor.
I started to embrace my journey once I moved to Woodville St. Now that I read this, that’s curious… Especially since the two Woodville’s dates of death are really standing out to me for some reason. I think I have those dates written down somewhere for different reasons. I will go searching later!
