I am a 46 year old grandmother of a 3 year old little girl. I started my Wiccan path first about 15 years ago. At the time it was because I was looking for something more to believe in because of some tragic deaths in my life: My son died at 17 days old back in 1998 because of multiple birth defects caused by my diabetes, my grandmother died because she had a stroke, fell and hit the artery in her neck on a China hutch, my great grandmother (who I was close to) fell out of bed and broke her neck, my cousin was shot point blank by her boyfriend who was on drugs and my father drowned in a storm drain. Not so pleasant, but all truth. I feel you need to know where I come from. I have found solace and peace with my past, for the most part. Life is full of the unexpected and unwanted but I believe in everything the Wiccan path has taught me and keeps teaching me. I am in tune with nature and I have a special connection with crows and trees. Crows find me all the time and they stop and will communicate with me, in their own way. My familiar died about 4 years ago and I have been searching for another if that is even possible, her name was Delilah and she was a Tonkinese cat. I tend to get along better with animals than I do people and I prefer to stay home in my bubble where I know I am safe, the world is scary to me, people are scary and both are unpredictable.
