I’m SJ but prefer to go by Raiven especially in our community
I have been a witch all my life but I didn’t embrace it fully until my children all grew up and left home
I suddenly realised all the things I had or enjoyed or had done in my life were so very different …. Or were they? When I really looked I saw one thing linked them all … Witchcraft (I have always been obsessed with the moon, all celestial bodies and constellations, I love watching the rocket launches… my dream is to go to the moon, or at least up & out of the atmosphere, but then equally I worked for years in care, in hospitals and looking after end of life, (helping people crossover comfortably) and palliative medicine… I grown plants, then I propagate and grow more plants, I watch the seasons and get even emotional about anything to do with nature …I have always had a set of Tarot cards since I was about 16 and I’d read them without a book, I just kind of knew… I’d see things happen before they did, I’d sometimes even draw things that would then happen!
I was told at about 6 or 7 we come from a line of witches and there’s one in every generation and I was mine (funnily enough my youngest son is his generation and I can sense it very much) but at 6 you don’t really think much of it…. I just grew up doing what I do…. Then my kids grew up and then I’m on my own and I was sat one day thinking over how different and random my life has been… so many totally unlinked things then it hit me …. And I remembered that 6 year old being told!)

I am a witch!!!

Ironically the family name (on my dads side) was Ravenscroft and on doing some digging into my history we have a family crest with 3 ravens on!

3 being another thing that was huge in my life, it’s always been the number I pick first , I do everything in threes even my car numberplate is my name and a number 3 (I have 3 children etc… the list goes on!) I didn’t realise the significance…until witchcraft came along!
Since then everything has made sense and I’ve finally found a home!

So, I live near to London in the UK. I’m a solitary witch, and I’d say both Wiccan & Pagan (I love parts of both, Wicca being more my religion and Paganism being more my lifestyle, with a heavy dose of witchcraft too)
I do celebrate the Sabbats with a group of likeminded souls nearby, which I love, otherwise I practice alone!
I also love being creative and I’ve recently started to teach myself digital drawing which I’m really enjoying …. It’s been a fair few years since I’ve been able to work unfortunately due to having Fibromyalgia (27 years) and social anxiety but that doesn’t mean I stop learning, any course I can get my hands on especially if it’s to do with mythology, ancient history or witchy stuff then I love it …
